Rin looked to the envelope in her hands.. Kakashi sitting Infront of the fire.. The wolves laying either on him or beside him..
"Hey Rin?" Kakashi asked looking back at her... Snapped out of her thoughts Rin looked up and raised an eye brow
"Yeah?" She answered him.. Kakashi looked back to the fire
"Why do you think these wolves aren't trying to kill me"
"They won't kill until told" Rin stated opening the sealed envelope and pulling out a note... A necklace then fell from the inside and landed on her lap.. Rin looked down and smiled... Picking up the string and looking at the small pendant... Smiling.. Rin then opened the paper and read it carefully.. She looked up to the fire to see kakashi watching her quietly...
"You alright?" He asked getting up and kneeling down Infront of her.. Rin smiled.. Her eyes watering
"Y-yeah.. I'm alright" Kakashi felt unsure... As he lifted her head slightly
"You sure Rin?" Rin looked at him, both eyes open... Staring at him as her bottom lip began to quiver
"Y-ye-eah" she whispered.. Kakashi then sat beside her... Arm around her..
"Come here" he whispered to her.. Rin then leant on him she started to sob.. The wolves now up and sniffing her hand making her smile..
"Good girl.. Good boys" she whispered... Patting the wolve's head and leaning against Kakashi again..
"He misses me.." Rin whispered..
"Yeah?"
"Y-yeah" Rin answered.. Tears rolling down "there's one thing though.."
"And what's that?" Kakashi asked chin on her head making her relax a little
"He's gone... That letter it came in too late... That's why I..." Rin started to cry again.. Kakashi looked at her sadly and held her close
"Your alright... Aren't ya? Your strong right? A strong wolf?" Kakashi whispered, Rin couldn't help but smile
"Y-yeah.." Rin whispered as she looked to the necklace she held in her hand tightly..
"What me to help you put it on?"
".... Yes please" Rin whispered sitting up... Kakashi then took hold of the necklace and put it around her neck... Clipping the two ends together.... Rin looked at the small pendant.. Reading the last bit of the letter... She then opened it.. She stared at the picture and started to tear up again... A picture of her father and the wolf who gave its eye to her.. Rai... Rin smiled and closed the locket... Smiling as she leant against Kakashi who gladly let her get comfortable..
"I think that's enough parcel opening today okay?.... Why not wait until tomorrow" kakashi whispered. Rin looked at him and smiled
"Okay" Rin whispered the wolves jumping up and sniffing the necklace that hung around rin's neck.. The three wolves then howled.. The fire crackling and the soothing noises of the wolves howls made it easier to fall asleep... Rin looked to kakashi with a nervous look, kakashi just smiled
"Sleep if you want too okay? I don't mind" he whispered.. Rin nodded and looked up..
"The letter was sent 6 months ago..... I miss him so much" Rin whispered, kakashi sighed and ran his hand up and down her arm.. "He was a real wolf..... Getting into trouble with rai and his pack...." Rin whimpered as tears slid down her cheeks.. "He loved the wilderness.. The trees the mountains... The animals... The adventures... He took me on most of them... Long hikes where he would have to carry me... Always getting close with the animals.. Even bears.. We once got close to a bear's den... We got to a mother and her four Cubs playing inside... It was wonderful then... I could go on as many adventures as I wanted with my dad.. People used to say he was the alpha of the wolf pack too.. Always leading the wolves around like they were his family" Rin whispered tears flowing non stop... Kakashi trying to comfort her..
"He would always say that the woods belong to the wolves.. I never understood it" Rin whispered. Kakashi sighed and rested his head back
"Maybe he's telling you the wolves should stay and the humans should go" kakashi whispered
"Maybe..." Rin whispered.. As she looked up at kakashi "you'll hurt your neck" Kakashi opened his sharingan eye and looked at her.
"I know" Rin then sat up and grabbed a pillow... Pushing him down so his back was on the cushions on the couch making him look at her "Rin.. What are you?" Rin then lifted his head and placed the pillow underneath his head and sat down on the floor
"Sleep" she muttered.. Kakashi smiled
"Stop worrying about me Rin, come here"
"I'm not sleeping with you"
"Who says I'll go to sleep?" Kakashi asked Rin looked back at him and sighed as she got up and laid down ontop of him.. Kakashi sighed and rested his hand on her lower back
"Just relax Rin..." He whispered. Rin looked up and sighed
"Yeah.." Rin whispered looking to the fire..
"Thanks by the way"
"For what?"
"For accepting me" Rin muttered quietly.. Kakashi smiled a little and rubbed her back gently.. Relaxing her as she watched the flames flicker in the fire place
"No problem Rin..." He whispered to her as she closed his eyes and sighed... Rin looked at him and raised her arm.. Pushing his head band down over his sharingan eye making him smile
"Thank you" he whispered raising his head a little, "you sure your alright Rin? About the letter?"
"Yeah... I'm alright... Don't need to worry about a wolf like me"
"That's not true" he muttered sighing and looking at her, Rin looked up at him and sighed as she looked back to the fire.. It was silent for a few moments... The crackling of the fire and the wolves slow breathing was the only thing that could be heard..
"I would worry about a friend, wolf or not" kakashi whispered lowering his head at the fire. "Your not a freak... Or a creep Rin.. Your just being yourself... And that's not wrong.. Not wrong at all" kakashi whispered as he gazed at the flames..
"Night Kakashi" Rin whispered, kakashi looked at her
'Did she really just ignore everything I just said?' He asked himself as he sighed and began staring at the fire....
