There she sat under an old oak tree moon light shining down looking inhumanly beautiful.  I studied the pale girl features from across the street.

Wind mess up her long waist length golden blonde hair that started to cover her face but even the distance I was at could still make out her stunning crystal blue eyes.

I knew the pale mystery girl was a vampire.

We can tell our own race from other creatures or humans, also we tend to not blend in that well with humans being over six foot easily. Our females don’t really have curves we’re more like starving runway models or in the other words humans thought we have eating disorders.

We have two different races of my kind, full blooded are Royals and half breeds become Shadow Guardians their purpose is to protect Royals.

Even though its frowned upon some royals like me chosen to fight alongside them.

Suddenly the blonde hair girl turns to face me her crystal eyes burning into mine.

“Hello my name is Audrey you must be Xenia.” Could hear a faint Russian accent.

“You knew I was coming?” I asked.

“No.”

“Then how did you know my name?”

“Um… I can read it off you.”

“What do you mean?”

“Can read your past.. Know what you really are… Royalty next in line for the throne if I’m not mistaken? But got disown after you chosen to fight alongside the guardians.”

My mouth almost dropped but thankful knowing not to show any kind of emotion to strangers I kept a blank face.

Before she realizes what happening I pinned her against the tree.

“How did you know all that information about me? And don’t give me the same bullshit that you could read my past there hasn’t been Readers for centuries.”

Audrey tried to break free but couldn’t.

“Tell me now” I ordered.

Trying my hardest not to lose my temper.

A tear rolled down her cheek.

“I have spoken the truth wouldn’t have lied I can see the past but only a little bit of the future it always changes.”

I stared at her in disgust.

“What all have you seen?” asked Carlo.

My brother who leaned against a leafy maple tree.

“What are you doing here? Mother would never have let ten you out of the castle.”

“Some stuff mother doesn’t have to know, but anyway just checking up on my little sis and you seems like you need some help over there.” He said while walking over to us.

“Don’t need your help I have this under control.”

Carlo studied me having Audrey still pinned.

“Really now you seem to have everything under control.” Sarcasm thick in his accent.

“Let me go! Someone help me their kidnapping me.” Audrey trying to sound like an innocent teenage human but forgotten to hide her fangs.
