The Disoriented Boy

The wake up call.

                               "Nikooo"! "Cmon kid wake up breakfast is on the table you got to start this job search lets go" said Aunt Ivette. Nikolas began to stretch and yawn walking downstairs heading to the kitchen,"Good morning Tia" said Nikolas. " Morning, Niko we have to talk but i must rush to work so for dinner ok?love you Kiddo" said Tia Ivette and slams the door.Nikolas whispers "love you too" and begins to stuff his face as if he hasn't ever ate before. ((Riiiinnnnggggg)) ((Riiiinnnggggg)) ((Ring))  Nikolas ran to the phone and picks up "Hello,May i?"((Click)) and without finishing his question the person on the other line had already hung up. Although Nikolas was upset he began to prepare for his journey to take a shower, take his medicine, then meet up his best friend Giancarlos to hunt for jobs. After his shower Nikolas starts to draw up his medicine but notices he is short of medicine for his next shot.Nikolas says to himself X marks the spot and injects himself, *He Squints* Ahhhhhhh" Nikolas says while he takes the needle out of his leg. Nikolas hears someone knocks on the door and and tries to hurry up and gets dress, He yells out "comiiiiinnnnnng". Nikolas runs and opens the door.

                             "Its about time Mamaguebo had me waiting in this heat" said Giancarlos, "Yoooo was good loko sorry i was taking this maldito medicina bro" Nikolas said chuckling."Ayo Cmon lets go man its 10:45 bro" Giancarlos said impatiently, "Ya im ready" said Nikolas. As Nikolas and Giancarlos head up to the train station they bumped into his aunt,"Niko" said Tia Ivette,Nikolas then walked up to his aunt and said "hey Tia me and Giancarlos is going for jobs now". Tia Ivette Stared at Nikolas and said " look at me Niko",Nikolas Looked " dont let them get you down go with a positive attitude and youll get it heres 20 bucks in case you get hungry or an emergency ok?" "Thanks Tia that means alot and will do " Nikolas said without hesitation. Nikolas and Giancarlos headed to the station and was on the way to look for jobs. The train was coming to a stop on 34th street, the boys got out the station and didnt even know where to start. "Bro lets go here in macy's they have to be hiring" Giancarlos said, The boys went in macys "Yo Gian lets go to polo i want to get flee" said Nikolas. "Niggah you a fool money is money we gonna be getting flee anyway but im trying to do big things bro and we cant do that with no job".

                                     "Hi can i help you with something?" Manager politely asked, "Yes, May i speak to the manager please?" Nikolas asked." i am the manager, how may i help you boys?"manager asked. " Yes, we was wondering if you guys need any help?" Giancarlos asked."No,Sorry boys we arent" said the manager. After trying 6 more stores and no help wanted the boys got frustrated and hungry so they stop to get some food and to rest a bit before they went for round two of job hunting. Nikolas phone started to ring, It was from an unknown number and he was contemplating whether to answer it or not."Hey bro your phone been ringing off the hook are you going to get or what?"  Giancarlos asked. "why should i pick up to get hung up on" Nikolas replied. ((Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinng)) "Nikolas?" Unknown caller asked, "whose this?" Nikolas asked. ((Beep)) ((Uuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrr)) is the sound you hear either if someones mad at you or someone just hung up, in Nikolas case someone hanged up." " I wonder who could that be playing on the phone it was a female sounded as if she was an adult" Nikolas ponders. " idk bro but im getting lazy lets just rap it up fill out some apps online and come back another time" Giancarlos implied. "True true i hope my aunt dont get disappointed or upset at me"Nikolas sighed. The boys then waited for the train to come to go home "Igh bro this my stop imma hit you up later" Said Giancarlos, "Igh bro np ill see you be careful" Nikolas said.

                                 Nothing like a fresh sunny Saturday morning where the birds are chirping, the cartoons is on, and aunt Ivette is cooking up a storm. Nikolas wakes up with the smell of bacon just slapping his nose,he jumps up washes his face and goes downstairs and hugs his Tia from behind and kisses her on the cheek. Nikolas knows something is up, aunt Vette is cooking a lot and shes not looking at me directly yup something is up he had thought to himself.  "Good morning papi, hows Titi's big man i made you a big breakfast knowing you must be tired from last night" said aunt Ivette with this bendito face she has create for herself. "Sion Tia, im ok and yeah tired is not the word and you?" Nikolas replied." Ay, Hijo im just getting threw my bodies getting old and these bones are not what they use to be you know but gracias a dios me lo cuide" Aunt Ivette replied. Aunt Ivette had a look on her face but didn't know how to tell him about the bad news or how to go about. "Ya ta buena?" aunt Ivette asked while starring  " Yes Its good very good thanks for breakfast" Nikolas said Gratefully. Nikolas got up and took both of there plates to the sink and began to wash them, Aunt Ivette was sipping her cafe and began to talk. "Niko sweetheart sit down next to me" aunt Ivette said  Nikolas took a seat and began to frown " whats wrong Tia" Nikolas asked. "I am backed up on rent and they giving me til next month to pay it or we are going to be evicted, and i know its hard for you to get a job right now so i try not to bother as much but papi we need the money or else the streets we go" Aunt Ivette said with a sad face and low voice. "How much Tia? How much we are behind i wish that i can just get a job...ill look harder i promise" Nikolas said while feeling like a disappointment."i owe $1,289.04,don't be so hard on yourself hijo we'll get threw" Aunt Ivette said. Nikolas got up and gave his aunt a huge hug and continued with the dishes.

                                   Later on that day Nikolas zoomed threw craigslist.org and he searched and emailed every job ad there was whether he had experience or not he just did it for the sake of him and his aunt. ((Buuuzzzzz))((Do-do-do-dupe)) Nikolas saw that he has gotten a text from Giancarlos saying "Yooooo"....Nikolas was so focus on these job ads that he forgot that his bro text him. Three and a half hours later hears ((Doom-Doom-Doom-Doom-Doom)) His Aunt Ivette had knock on on his room door to came to cheek up on him brought him 2 grilled cheeses, tomato soup, and some milk for lunch. "How is it going Hijo, any luck yet" said aunt Ivette,She just knew he was going to find something. "No nothing yet Nikolas said chomping on the grilled cheese sandwich.Aunt Ivette has now left and Nikolas went back on and he stumbled upon an escorting gig he was willing to any and everything except nothing with a guy of course. Nikolas decide to take the gig for the next day.

                                 The sun finally was setting and Aunt Ivette went out with her friends for girls night out which means Nikolas was home all alone, as he dialed Giancarlos's number to invite for an hang out instead of calling Giancarlos the phone picked up the unknown callers call. "Hello Niko is that you?" the unknown caller asked, "yes,who is this?" Nikolas asked. All of a Sudden both ends got quiet not a sound was said.10 seconds past, "helllooooo!!,excuse me are you there"said Nikolas." "who is this?" he repeated once more. The mystery lady on the other end was sobbing and replied "Its,its me its your mother". All the feelings rushed out of Nikolas body leaving his colored skin peal white only this time it wasnt her that hung up it was now him.
