I opened my eyes. I could smell the scent of vanilla. It was my mom in the kitchen making one of her latest creations. I got out of bed and silently walked over to my window. As I opened the curtains my eyes were burned with the beautiful sight of a warm Summer day. I took a deep breath and walked over to my wardrobe. Examining my clothing, wondering that I should wear. It was the last week of Summer and my best friend and I were both going to a back to school barbecue that my school host's for all the Freshmen. As I pulled out dozens of shirts and shorts I thought to myself, I have nothing to wear ! I walked over to my bedside table and grabbed my cellphone. Looking threw my contacts I landed on Arizona.

Arizona was my best friend. She was the girl every other girl ( including myself) wanted to be like. She had perfect dark brown wavy hair that fell halfway down her back. She had the brownest shade of eyes I have ever seen. And to top it off she had the perfect sized tanned body. Seriously, she could look good in  a plastic bag. I sent her a text saying that we should go shopping after lunch. Not even ten minutes later, she replied back with a huge yes and hundreds of exclamation points. A smile rushed to my face as I read the text , thinking how she would already be planning her outfit, and so was I. I walked down to the kitchen and saw my mom taking A tray of cupcakes out of the oven.

"Whats the ocassion?" I asked.

"There for Robin's wedding. She needs 120 of them by Friday, so I thought I'd get a head start."

Robin was my mom's friend. They worked together at my mom's bakery. All she ever talked about was her wedding. The decor, food and not to mention the dress. I didn't mind that part much. It was beautiful. She had asked my mom a while back to make her wedding cupcakes.I didn't think she would actually do it. She was already swamped with orders. It seemed like everyone we knew were getting married as soon as my parents divorced.

I grabbed an apple and checked the clock, 10:00am. I walked up to the stairs and headed towards my bathroom. I tossed the apple in the garbage and grabbed a towel from the cupboard. As I stepped into the shower I felt the steamy, hot water pour down on top of me. I picked up my favorite shampoo and lathered it into my wavy, light brown hair , trying to give it as much body as I possibly could. I finished up the rest of my hair and my body and stepped out of my shower grabbing my towel and wrapping it around my tanned, fit body. I opened the bathroom door and stepped into my bedroom and walked towards my wardrobe. I decided on a pair of black straight cup jeans and a long sleeved sheer, burgundy blouse with a cheetah print bandeau. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiling with satisfaction. I sat down in front of my mirror and took my brush in one hand , and my blow dryer in the other and started to work on my hair. After flipping my hair in all directions aand burning myself with my curling iron a few times I decided my hair was as good as it was going to get.

I looked down at my watch and saw 11:30am. I was suppose to meet Arizona at the mall in 30 minutes. I grabbed my purse and headed down into the kkitchen , to see my mom finishing icing her latest batch of cupcakes.

"Hey mom, I am going to the mall to meet Arizona at the mall, do you need anything?"

"No thanks sweetie, have fun and tell Arizona i said hi!"

"Okay bye mom!" I said as I headed out the door.

I walked down the street to the bus stop and waited a few minutes until  the bus got there. I stepped into the bus and searched for a place to sit. I didn't have many options. It  was practically full. My choices were to sit beside an old lady searching threw her purse , or an even older lady talking to everyone around her . I decided on the old lady who was searching threw her purse. Hopefully we could just keep to ourselves and that will make this bus ride go along faster. I took my seat and grabbed my Ipod out of my purse and putt my headphones in my ears. I turned it on to Joe Brooks, Five days of Summer in the rain and hit repeat. This song always put me in a good mood.

I started humming along to the lyrics and before I knew it the old lady was starring at me , and so was everyone else on the bus, including a cute guy across the isle. I pulled my headphones out of my ear and realized I was singing at the top of my lungs. I looked down at my feet and hoped that my face didn't look as red as it felt. Luckily the bus stopped and everyone stoop up and headed towards the door. As I got closer and closer  I felt a hand grad my shoulder.

"You have a great voice." He said with a wink. I turned around and saw that it was the cute guy from across the isle.

"Thanks." I said trying to hold back a smile.

My gosh did this boy look cute ! He  was about 5"9,which was tall for me considering I was only 5"2. His black hair was buzzed cut and his eyes were the darkest shade off brown. They could have even been black. You could see the outline of his muscles threw his slightly tight, light grey, V neck, T-shirt.. He was also wearing a plaid unbotton shirt over top of it. And above all he was black. My biggest weakness.

"My name is Dean my the way."

"Payton" I said as he shook my hand.

I stepped off the bus and headed towards the mall. I pulled my Ipod out of my purse and put my headphones in my ears, but before I could even turn it on a voice interrupted me.

"Having an encore performance are we?"

I turned around and saw that it was dean walking towards me.
