Lexi's pov.
I tightened my robe as I opened the door. It was my manger/aunt. I let her in, then closed the door behind her. She had a magazine in her hand. She sat in a chair at my kitchen table and I sat across from her.
" What's up Ci?" I said, looking at her. She slid the magazine across the table.. I looked at it, and Ray and I was on the cover and the headlines said 'New Couple?' I rolled my eyes and slid it back to her, " Their always in my business," I said, angrily.
" Are y'all dating?" Ciara asked me,
" Not really." I said, raising my eyebrows.
" Not really?" Ciara said, repeating what I said in a questioning manner. " Don't let this boy interfere with your career, Lexianna." She added on...
" Alright, Ci. It's not that serious anyway." I said, rolling my eyes.
" Better not be." she said, rolling her eyes. Her phone began to ring. " Hello... this is her... I'm sure she would love too... Alright.... We'll be there.." She said before hanging up.
" What have you gotten me into now?" I asked her, knowing she is up to some.
" A tv show." she said, putting her phone in her purse. " I'll tell you more about it later." she said, before getting up and walking to the door. " And... You have a meeting with success records tomorrow, don't be late." she said, opening the door.
" Alright," I said, closing the door and locking it.
I walked upstairs and went into my mom's room.
" Ma, you going to my meeting tomorrow?" I asked her, she turned her head towards me. I looked at the tv and saw that she was watching the movie 'Obsessed'.
" Of course, baby." she said. I nodded and closed the door.
I walked in my room and plopped down on my bed. I turned my tv to celebrity news and instantly saw Ray and I as the 'Hot Topic'. I put my pillow over my head and screamed. Then my phone started to ring..
"Hello?" I answered..
"Hey, have you seen the celebrity news and the magazines?" Ray asked.
"Yes," I said, sighing.
"You coming over here, today?" he asked, changing the subject.
"Only if you want me to." I said, smirking.
"You know, I want you to." he said,
"Alright, I'll be there in a few." I said, laughing.
"I can't wait.." he said, low-key flirting.
"Boy goodbye." I said, laughing before hanging up.
I went to my closet and slipped on a bright fiery red sundress. Then I slipped on some black sandals. Then I flat ironed my hair... Which is shocking because I barely do that. I grabbed my phone and walked around the corner to Ray's house. I knocked on the door twice, before he answered. He let me in and sat down on his couch, seconds later- he came and sat down beside me.
"This is new." he said, touching my hair.
"Yeah, I'm trying something new." I said, smiling. "You like it?" I asked.
"Girl, I would like it even if you was bald." he said, giggling. "So, you know not to ask me." he said. I laughed.
"So what's going on with your hair today?" I asked, touching his hair. It hair wasn't in the usual braids. It was in a ponytail all curly.
"I didn't feel like braiding it." he said, shrugging. "You want to braid it for me?" he asked.
"Sure..." I said, looking at him. He grabbed a pillow and put it on the floor between my legs. He sat down on the pillow. I took the ponytail holder out his head, and began to braid his hair.
"You wanna know about my family now?" he asked,
"Yes.." I said, still braiding his hair.
"The reason why you barely see my parents is because I don't stay with them, I stay with my grandparents and my grandma has been very sick lately. So my Grandad has been in the hospital with her by her side." he said,
" Oh, that's sweet." I said, smiling. " and I hope your grandma feels better.
" Yeah, me too." he said, "Tell me about your family." he said.
"My dad owed some people some 'big time money'... And he was in a gang. But my dad didn't pay the money so now he's dead. They killed him, right in front of my mom and I. I was 5 so I don't remember much about him." I said, " As for my mom, she hasn't dated another man, and doesn't plan on doing it she says... I think she's still battling depression, though. But I help her every step of the way." I said, starting on the second braid.
" Oh, that's sad." he said, sadly.
" Yeah, I know right?" I said, and he nodded,
"Well, I'm here for you, if you need anything." he said, smiling.
"Same here.." I said, smiling as I finished his braid. He stood up and sat back on the couch.
"You know Lexi..." he said..
"Know what, Ray?" I asked.
"I love you." he said, before kissing me. I kissed back with more lust.
"Ray, I love you too." I said, after we finished kissing.
"You mean it?" he asked looking in my eyes.
"Absolutely." I said, smiling.
