RAIN

" The pitter patters

The wind chimes ringing

Nothing else but this matters

But the sound of my heart beating

Matching the rain as it hits the window

Calming my nerves as I sit beside you

Wanting a kiss, waiting ever so patiently.

Hearing your voice sounds like leaves hitting the ground in the fall,

So calm and soft

Like your touch, like your lips... Like the rain."

HEADPHONES

"The music blasting into my ears

Almost like a war, raging on

Sound, so perfectly clear

Removing one as someone speaks

Taking them everywhere, speaking to no one

Tuning out the world, & reality.

Cleaning the house to the sounds of guitars, drums, vocals, violins.

It could go on forever.

Everyone's best friend, that's been there no matter what. Waiting to calm them down, or be the life of the party. All it takes it a press of a button, a click, headphones placed softly in ears, and your own world surrounds you."
