My new partner

I feel him staring at me as I continue to look away trying to ignore him. He clears his throat and I slowly turn to see him smirking at me. "Hey " he says and I immediately freeze, "Urm, hi" I whisper and quickly grab my English book and find a new page to start work on the task.

He moves closer. "What's your name?"
"Bella"
"Cool, I'm Luke"
"I know"
"Oh, quite the know it all aren't you"
I giggle as he laughs
"So are you going to Byron Divvels party Saturday night?"
"Nope I wasn't invited"
"Well your invited now"
I look up and he smirks
"I can't go anyway"
"Why not?"
"My Mum and Dad they-"
"Who cares!"
"I do!, they'd kill me"
"So what, you gotta live life while u can"
I smile at his comment
"I'll think about it"

English soon ends and I can't help but wonder about Luke and the party.

Lunch soon rolls around and I meet up with Jess (my best friend, we've been friends since nursery and like mine her parents where quite strict that's the reason I get to hang out with Jess, because my parents only like it if I hang out with people who can't distract me or get me in trouble.

"Jess!"
"Bella!"
We both hug each other and immediately bounce into conversation.
"So I've been thinking" I say
"Oh god here we go" she laughs
"We should go to Byron Divvels party on Saturday!"
"Are you crazy"
"Oh cmon it will be fun"
She sighs "Ok but if we get caught I'm blaming you" we both giggle and hug each other.

The end of the week soon rolls around and I find myself at Bella's getting ready. Her parents aren't as strict as mine and allowed us to go if we're home by 12.
I picked a beautiful short red dress with laced sleeves and a small v neck. For my makeup I did a cat eye with red lipstick and for my hair I decided to curl it.
"OMG you look beautiful!" Jess gasps as she turns to see me" "OMG so do you girl!"
She was wearing a beautiful short black dress with high heeled boots and smokey eye makeup. Her strawberry blonde hair was tied neatly into a bun.

We drove there in her little Mini Cooper parking just opposite Byrons house it was 7:00 so it was getting pretty dark already. We open the door to see loads of people dancing and kissing each other with loud music blaring. Jess headed for the dance floor as I stood like an idiot watching her begin to talk to people.

I suddenly feel a hand slither round my waist and turn to see a guy around 19 smirking at me whilst holding a half empty glass of beer in his right hand. I gasp and push him off but he gets angry and begins to grab my arm and pull me closer. I try to escape but his grip was strong until I suddenly feel someone else grab me and pull me out of his grasp. It's Luke. "Don't touch her!" he shouts at the guy and drags me away from him. "Hey!" I shout at Luke. "Hey, glad you could come" he smiles and looks me up and down "you look good" he smirks. I feel my cheeks burn at his comment.
"Thanks"
"Can I get you a drink?"
"Urm ok"

I follow him in to the kitchen. Couples were practically slobbering over each other in every corner (I would be lying if I told you I didn't feel awkward) but it didn't seem to bother Luke in the slightest and slowly went over to grab me and him a beer. I quickly gestured him out of the kitchen as I couldn't bare to be in there any longer. I saw Jess who was with another guy and made my way over. "Jess!" I shouted and she turned to me with a huge smile. "Oooh someone got lucky" I laughed glancing at the guy with her. "Hey babe, oh this is Blake he recognised me from drama" she smiled glancing at Blake. "Hey" he said to me holding out his hand. I smiled and shook it "Hey" |(not gonna lie but hes pretty damn fine he had jet black hair and striking green eyes, maybe Jess has picked a winner)
