"I want to kiss you."

All she could do is blush.

He closed his eyes and leaned forward very slowly and she did the same.

She waited for his lips to touch hers, but nothing happened. She opened her eyes.

He was gone.

She fell into a dark hole and fell for what seemed like ages. She suddnly slowed down and heard a distant voice.

"Mack," boomed an echoy voice. "Mack, wake up!"

She opened her eyes, for real this time, and saw her mother standing over her.

"You are gonna be late for school! Get ready," Mack's mom said as she left the room.

Mack sat on her bed, thinking about her dream. Now that she thought about it, she couldn't even remember whast the boy looked like. She remebered falling into the dark hole into a void-like space. Mack was scared she would be there forever.

She got ready and headed downstairs and out the door, not bothering with breakfast because it always made her sick this early.

She rode the bus to school, passing the time by reading her favorite book, The Rainy Day's Sunshine. She knew the title sounded cheesy, but it was very interesting to her.

The first few classes passed and lunch came. Mack sat in her usual coner, isolated from everyone else. People in high school wern't always too nice, and she didnt't really have any friends. Let me rephrase that, Mack had no friends.

Lunch finished and she went to math class. When she walked in, there was a stranger sitting at Ms. Parks' desk. Mack paniced. She quickly went to sit in the back of the class hoping the substitute didn't notice her. Halfway through class, everything went smoothly. Then it all crashed down.

The sub, Mrs. Robinson, looked around the room for her next victim. He eyes landed on Mack.

"Young lady! Please tell me the answer to this problem."

Everyone in the class turned to her, most with a pityed expression.

She didn't know what to do. She had not yet had a sub this year. Mrs. Robinson stared as she waited for Mack to answer. "Well? Are you not going to answer?"

Mack sat there with her mouth parted.

A girl whos name Mack did not know raised her hand. "Can you help her, young lady?" Everyone's eyes travled to the other girl, and Mack let out a sigh of relief.

The bell rung and she finished the rest of her classes without a problem. When she got home, she crawled into bed and cried herself to sleep.
