I prance around my new room playing my piddlo. I'm thinking of writing a new piece for Lord Thar. I think he would enjoy it.

"You sound wonderful," Loo says at my doorway.

I don't reply. I knew he's been standing there for a few minutes anyway.

"You're gonna get yourself killed."

I keep strumming away. Loo has never been supportive anyway, I don't need him.

"Talk to me, Al."

I stop, look him dead in the eye, and say, "No."

Then I pick up my piddlo and keep playing. I stare out the window of my room. He got me a room with a window that can actually see sky and not smog.

He places his hands on my hips and starts to sway with my music.

"Go away," I state.

He rests his chin on my shoulder, and I stop playing.

"Keep playing, I like it."

"Well I don't like this, and you seem happy to keep this up." I turn around and stare at his eyes. "I thought this wasn't your thing. You aren't exactly the most openly loving type."

"This seems private to me."

"That's why we're the only two people on this floor? All those men are at least 4 floors below us. Why?"

He smiles softly at me. He gives me those big loving eyes. He's dressed in his silk pajamas that I've stolen from him a few times at sleepovers.

I miss those sleepovers.

This war kinda got in the way of our friendship.

I awoke to his warm eyes looking at me.

"Marning," he grumbles in a thick accent.

"The fuck you want," I reply with an inside joke. Every time I woke up my mother when Sahns was over, she replied like that. Eventually it caught on as our joke when we woke up next to each other.

"I don't want you to do it," he pleads seriously.

"Not this early in the morning Sahns. I will deal with your pussy feelings later," I grumble back.

"Of course. You're still not out of your 'not in the morning' phase are you?"

"Whadya think?"

He mutters incoherent words. I lay my head back down and try to sleep again.

"You ain't sleeping anytime soon, sweetheart." Sahns pushes me off the bed with his legs.

I make do and try to fall asleep on the floor. It is pretty comfortable anyway. Suck it Sahns.

He scoops me up in his arms like the way he does when I do this. I punch his throat. Lightly of course. Ish. Not really. He drops me at least.

"I thought you said you'd never do that again."

"I'm sorry, there's a war going on, promises don't apply." I smirk. Nothing seems to be applied from laws, to rules, to friendships, much less promises.

"Promises are all we have at this point."

"Amen to that." I drag my ass to my makeshift closet and put on new clothes. Sahns stays getting his stuff that he put in my room last night together.

"So explain to us this daring plan you have for us," Colonel Engora who still shows up in his Orange gear despite everyone else going for the more casual style. Uble shows up in his pajamas.
