I ran into her room. The grubs were asleep and so was she.

"Fal?" I shook but she was limp... "FAL!" I shouted and rolled her over. Her face was tear stained and her dagger was through her heart... She was dead... "Gog damniit Fal... You weren't sssupposed to go liike thiisss... Out of all the people you weren't the one II thought would go to thiisss!.." I hugged her cold, limp body.

We ran through the woods as fast as we could. Kurloz(before he got the title GHB) was chasing us. Laylah tugged me behind a tree and put a finger over her lips. I had to admit I've grown a flush crush on her but I'd never tell her that. She's a Highblood for pete's sake! She dragged me to the river.

"Okay I think we lost him" she giggled and she put her hair up in a ponytail. She smiled as the fish swam by. I always loved her smile it could brighten the darkest of places and warm the coldest of hearts including Kurloz's. "What are you staring at?" She gave me a questioning look. My face turned bright Aqua.

"N-nothiing II ss-ssswear!" She giggled as I hid my face with my hair. She walked over and sat in my lap. She moved my hair out of my face.

"Why do you always cover your face?" She smiled softly and I shrugged. She shook her head. "Don't cover your face. You look better when you don't" I nodded and smiled.

I sat at the top of a hill watching the stars. I sighed as I played with my hair. I can never build up the courage to tell her how I feel. She's just so perfect in every way.. I sighed.

"Whatcha sighing about?" I snapped my head towards the person.

"L-Laylah!? W-What are you doiing here!?" I stuttered clearly surprised by her sudden appearance.

"I usually come up here and watch the stars. What about you?"

"Thiinkiing..."

"About?"

"Ssstuff."

"What kinds of "stuff" " she made quotations with her hands.

"The ssstuff people thiink about"

"Flush crush?"

"H-How diid you..."

"It's written all over your face. Trust me. So who is it" I stayed quiet and she pouted. "Can I at least have a hint!" She whined... I sighed and stood up. So did she. I swiftly and softly kissed her.

"There'sss your ssstupiid hiint" then I darted off.

I pulled the dagger out of her chest.

"II'm ssso sssorry II didn't get to you iin tiime... Fal.."

"It's okay Cryron" I turned around and saw her. She walked up to me. "I didn't want you to have to go through the pain of killing me.. So I did it for you.. Just know I will always love you" she smiled softly.

"I love you too Laylah.." My voice cracked. She kissed my forehead and disappear. I grabbed her dagger and the grubs. I put the grubs in a safe place and went to grab my katanas and scythe. I will fight till my last breath.
