Falling Into Place

It's my only release from pain.

Cameron was walking home from school and Daxton ran up hugged her from behind and whispered "Hey babe, what's up." Cameron smiled and whispered back " Walking home. What's up with you?" "Walking you home." Cameron pushed away and said "Why?" Daxton stops, he was confused. "Is something bothering you? Is it me?" She realized what she had said. "No sorry I love you, I've just been, stressed about the test in math next week." Daxton said "Okay, I was just worried. If you need to talk, I'm always here for you. I love you to." They talked more on the way to Cameron's house.

"Well, I'll text you?" "Can we hang out?" "Well yeah, I guess. My mom obviously won't care." They walk inside and Mason shouted "Why did you take so long I'm starving!" "Surprised your actually home." "Well, Maley is going shopping with her sister." "I'm going to hang out with Daxton so please don't bother us. And I guess here is five bucks, go to the gas station" "Whatever" he said as he walks out the door.

Daxton and Cameron walk upstairs into her room and shut the door. They sit on the bed, and it's silent for a couple minutes. "Do you know how beautiful you are?" Daxton said as he stroked her cheek. She giggles and they lean in to kiss. "Hey I have some things I haven't told you" Cameron sighs. "I knew there was something wrong. Baby I love you, what's wrong?" "I'm just really depressed. And your going to be so mad at me. But um, look." She pulls up her sleeve and shows him her cuts up and down her forearm. She breaks out into tears and so does he. They cuddle for about thirty minutes.

Daxton wrapped his arm around her and said "Why. Cam I love you so much and if you weren't here I don't know what I would do." "Well, I'm getting tired and you should probably go eat, I bet your hungry." "I'm not, but I'll go since your tired. I love you." "I love you to." Daxton kissed her and then left.

Cameron closed her eyes. *vvrrmm* Her phone vibrated and it was a text from Daxton that said "I forgot to ask... Why?" Cameron replied "It's just my mom never pays attention to me and my brother hates me. I feel so alone. My mom is always in her room with a new guy every two days. My brother does things he shouldn't at his age and he deserves better. And I just hate my life. The only reason why I'm here is because of you. If you weren't here, there is a full medicine cabinet in my bathroom that would be empty. But I love you so I just cut because it's my only release from pain. And I'm sorry. I really am, but now I can't stop. It's like an addiction, and everything I'm lonely or don't feel needed I just cut. That is why."
