"I have a class next period," he whispered softly. I had ended up against his chest in a tight embrace. We had been like that for basically the entire period. No talking, just holding each other. I looked at the clock and realized that there was 3 minutes left until the bell would ring.

"I'm sure my Spanish teacher won't be too happy that I didn't show up. I had a presentation today," I replied, earning a low chuckle from him, making his chest vibrate against my head. I felt so safe.

"Are we still on for later?" He asked, rubbing my forearm, making me shiver. I nodded, sitting up and facing him.

"Let me see your phone," he put his hand out. I looked at him confused, but took it out and handed it to him after he gave me a reassuring nod. He started typing, and I couldn't see what he was doing. He gave my phone back to me and just as I went to see what he did, the bell rang. I looked up to see that contagious, bright smile of his. I couldn't help but smile back.

"I'll see you later," he reached up and stroked my cheek once more before we heard a student coming down the hallway. I quickly grabbed my bag and left his room. I got to my next class and pulled my phone out, hiding it behind my bag. I had to search for a little while before I realized what he had done. "Dan 😛☺️💕" Was the newest contact added into my phone I smiled stupidly to myself. It took me a minute to realize it was him. He had used his first name, which I realized I didn't know until now. It was pretty smart actually. Imagine getting a dirty text and having somebody see that it was from a Mr. Or Mrs. teacher person. That'd be bad.

It also dawned on me how much I was into him. I had only known him for a week. He was my teacher. I shouldn't be feeling this way. It was so wrong, but it felt oh so right. I sighed, putting my phone back into my bag. I couldn't wait to see him again, but I had to control myself. I'm not supposed to be feeling this way.

"Have any of you guys heard from Brandon yet today?" I asked as we sat and ate our lunch.

"Yes, actually," Chad said through a mouth full of pizza. "I was texting him in English. Says he's got an awful hangover."

I silently relaxed. So he wasn't trying to avoid me. I made a mental note to talk to him later.

"So Jaz, got any plans after school? I was thinking we could go get something to eat and then go to the soccer game," Pet stated. She was wearing one of Kyle's soccer jerseys. It was way too big on her, but she pulled it off like she does with everything. I thought about my plans with Mr. Reynolds. Er, Dan I mean.

"Um, I can go to the game with you. But I'll have to meet you there, I have something to do right after school," I answered, hoping she wouldn't ask anymore.

"Okay, sounds good," she smiled and took a sip of her iced tea. Good, she wasn't going to ask what I was doing. How was I supposed to tell her about this? Or should I just keep it a secret? Pet and I usually told each other everything. I say usually because we both knew that boundaries were an important component of any relationship, even as close as we were. There was only one thing that I had never told her, and never plan on telling her.

The rest of the day seemed to drag by. All I could think of was my date with Dan. Could you even call it a date? Was it too soon? Ugh, I really need to get a better love life.

The bell finally rang and I went to my locker, tossing my book inside and pulling my jacket on. I shut it and leaned against it, holding my phone and waiting for something from him to let me know what was going on. 10 minutes went by, and I was getting anxious. My phone finally vibrated against my thigh. It was him.
