Heart beating. Music thumping. People Dancing. Me? Well I'm just sitting here at this party Leah dragged me to. I should be having fun, but how could I when I knew nobody. Well, obviously except Leah. Speaking of Leah, I find her walking towards me, drink in hand, boys in tow.
"Zero, come ON! I have three guys here just waiting to dance with you. Now get off your lazy ass and have some fun!"
I groan, "Do I have to? This chair and I just started to get to know each other."
"Yes, Z, you have to! I'm sure Zach, Mark, and Tony would agree you need to dance." Leah looked over her shoulder at them, getting nods of eagerness. Kinky much?
"Nope. No. Absolutely not."
Since whatever she was trying wasn't working, Leah got her game face on. Oh no. Here comes the inspirational speech.
"Z, I dragged you here for a reason. You need to stop being so depressed and have some fun. These guys don't know you, and it can stay that way if you want. You need to live in the moment, opportunities like this don't just throw themselves at you. For fuck's sake, Zero, do crazy shit now and remember the good times later. Please?"
Oh. Oh she's getting mad now.
"Ok. Yep. Let's dance, why not, right?" I forced a smile on my face.
"THANK you!" Leah visibly relaxed.
The hottest of them all, I think his name is Tony, grabbed me by the waist and we started dancing. We danced until the partied died down. Around one am, Tony and I headed to a hotel, since this party was an hour away from where either of us live.
"Zero, I had a lot of fun with you at the party," Tony commented while walking to the hotel, "I haven't seen moves like that in awhile." He turned me by the waist, making me look at him. Oh. Oh no. He's going in for a kiss.
"Ohhhh kay party boy lets get you in a room for some sleep," I used as an excuse while ducking out of his grasp.
He seemed a little, no- very disappointed. I feel a little sympathy for the guy, considering I led him on a few times, but there is no way I'm kissing someone I just met. No way.
Although I have to say, this party gave me the most fun I've had in awhile. Thank you Leah.
