Chapter Three

If you did not read the author's note I posted on the last chapter, I'm going to repeat it. I've decided to change it up and still go with the AOU storyline but in Elsi's pov. I don't like copying the movie word for word. I'd prefer to stick with one person's pov, too. At some point, I will hold a vote to write or rewrite a chapter in another character's pov. Thank you!!!

I've made up my mind. I have to go to Midgard. I can't just stand around while they're fighting. I leave Frigga with one of Thor's advisors and go to Heimdall.

"My queen," he bows.

"Heimdall, please take me to Asgard," I ask.

"Are you sure? You haven't been training since the birth of Frigga. Thor told me to watch over you and I do not think he would appreciate me allowing you to go to battle."

"Heimdall, please. I have to know he's okay," I beg.

"I can tell you that. You cannot leave your child. She needs you," Heimdall tries again.

"But I need to see him," I protest.

"He is perfectly fine. He cannot be killed by Midgardian weapons," Heimdall answers calmly.

"Yes, he can!"

"Elisabeth, he is fine. I swear on my life."

"How are the rest of the Avengers?"

"They all are fine. There's three new members."

Where did they come from? I thought the Avengers were going to keep a the original members. I wonder who these people are.

"Who are they? What do they look like?"

"One is red and there's a man and woman, twins, I think."

"Iron Man isn't new," I state, confused.

"No, not him. Another red being. He has an Infinity Stone," Heimdall gasps.

"What?"

"An Infinity Stone."

"What is that?"

"When the universe was created, the Stones were created and are tied to six different aspects of the universe. I know you know about the Tesseract, which is the Space Stone. This being in Midgard is in possession of the Mind Stone, which Thanos used to possess Loki," Heimdall explains.

"How do you know that?" I'm very curious now.

"I'm omniscient."

"But then couldn't you have stopped it?"

"I cannot see the future. Thanos can deceive my senses and I cannot always see him."

"How did you know that he controlled Loki?"

"My dear Elisabeth, I told my mother and she pleaded my innocence," Loki answers.

"So Thanos hid this from you? What if he is planning something now and you can't see it?"

"If he attacks, we'll be prepared," Loki replies with a voice of vengeance.

"My king, I know you want revenge, but we cannot afford to have him attack. He is very powerful and can hide from me."

"I know, Heimdall. But if the time comes, I want to be in on it. I deserve to fight. How is my brother?"

"He is well. He is with Doctor Selvig," Heimdall responds.

Loki gulps, "How is Doctor Selvig?"

"I suspect he is all right. As well as a human recovering from mind control can be," Heimdall grins at Loki's expression.
