Chapter 10: Hospital Emergency

TWO DAYS LATER

Aaron's POV

I woke up at 2:30 in the morning because I had to go and use the bathroom kind of bad. After I was finished I got a phone call from Jess' friend, Alyssa. I groaned then said, "Hello?" "Aaron? Aaron are you awake?" she said in a panicky tone. "Uh yeah, but you sound like something's wrong. Is everything okay?" "....." "Alyssa answer me. Is everything okay?" "Aaron, just promise me you won't freak out ok?" "Um....ok." "Well Jess is in the hospital because she got in a car accident." I dropped the phone on the floor then fell on the floor crying till I cried myself to sleep.

(Time Skip To 9:00 AM)

I woke up to my mom shaking me and whispering my name. "Aaron, might I ask why you're on the floor?" "The floor?" I said looking down at the floor. "Well I'm not sure if you heard yet yet, but Jess got in a car accident and is now in a coma," she said helping me get off the floor. "Oh yeah....well that's why I was on the floor." "Oh. Well you can go visit Jess right now if you would like." "Wait really?" "Yes." "Okay great. Thanks mom." I hugged her then left to took a shower and to go see Jess.

(At the hospital)

I got to the hospital and asked the worker what room Jess was in then a nurse directed me to her room. She left and closed the door and was in sadness to see what I saw. Tubes hooked up to her, scratches everywhere and not awake. I sat next to her and looked at her. I started to cry out of anger and sadness. I stopped when the doctor came in and started to talk to me. "Um hello sir, but might I ask who you are?" "Oh, well I'm the patient's boyfriend, Aaron Walker," I said as I got up to shake his hand. I sat back down then asked, "So what's her status?" "*Sigh* Well she is a coma state and has a very broken body. She is also at a very high risk of death." I tried to fight back the tears and luckily I did. As I touched her hand I asked the doctor, "How high is the risk?" "Sadly to say, but there is only a 20% survival for her." "Oh no..." "Sorry son. I'll leave you be with her to have a moment," he said as he left the room. I bursted into tears hearing what he just said. She only has a 20% chance survival rate? That's so low and....she could die so easily. I wasn't sure if this would be the last time I see Jess so I decided to sing her a song.

Jess' POV

I woke up to see that I was in a white place, but I wasn't sure where I was. out of nowhere appeared two doors and a person who looked just like me. "Who are you?" She smiled at me then said,  "I'm you! Ha well I'm the 'angel vision' of you." "A-Angel vision? Wait so does that mean I'm dead?!" "No Jess, but if you want to die you can. As you can see here lies two doors in front of you. The bluish- greenish one will take you back to Earth with your friends and your family. The white door however will take you to Heaven." "Can I have some time to think?" "Yes you may." I paced back and forth thinking to myself aloud, Maybe it's for the best. I mean I am a terrible girlfriend to Aaron and he probably doesn't like me anymore that much after how I treated him towards the Rachel thing. "Okay I know what I wanna do now?" "Well what is your choice, Jess?" "I choose the white door." She showed of surprise at me at what I answered. "Oh well um are you sure?" "Yes." "Well before we travel through the white door I want to show you this. Using her hands she pulled up some sort of cloud that showed me in the hospital, but Aaron was there. He looked horrible like he didn't get any sleep and like he had been crying for hours.

"Wait why is Aaron there?" "Just watch Jess." "Jess I don't if you can hear me or hear anything, but I just want you to know that I love you so much and that i will find the person who did this to you," he said as he started to cry some more. "So before you leave I want to sing you this song." He then started to sing.

Step one, you say, "We need to talk."
He walks, you say, "Sit down. It's just a talk."
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
You begin to wonder why you came

As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road

Or he'll say he's just not the same

"I love you Jess and I don't want you to leave me.....but you can leave if you want to," he said with a small smile. Then the cloud faded away. When I was out of my daze from the cloud I saw myself crying. "So Jess are you still gonna choose the white door?" "*Sniffle* No." The other Jess smiled then said, "I understand, but Jess I warn you that two things will happen when you go back. The first one is that it will take a couple days for you to actually go back." "Okay, well what's the other thing?" "That's for you to find out." She disappeared then I went through the bluish- greenish door and everything went black.

(5 mins later)

Aaron's POV 

I felt Jess squeeze my hand and then I smiled knowing that she would be fine. I left out to go home and to find out who did this to Jess.

Don't worry Jess. Your justice we be served to the person that harmed you.
