I sighed out of relief as I stepped into the warm theater, rubbing my hands together quickly in attempt to warm them up. It had been an awfully stressful and exhausting week, what with wrapping up the tour and booking flights home, and I needed to make some time for myself.

"One adult ticket for The Hunger Games please," I smiled at the pudgy woman behind the counter, who wore a friendly smile and kind eyes. I loved seeing people like that in public places, for it always seemed to make a gloomy day a little brighter. I pulled out my wallet and handed her my credit card, before she handed me my ticket. "Thank you, have a good one." I smiled again, shoving my hand into my pocket as I walked over to the concession stand.

Usually I'd come to a movie theater with my friends or family, but it was a weekday and they were all ether at school or work. I missed going to school, I really did, and that's something you wouldn't expect to come from a teenage boy, but when you're always on the road and biting your fingernails to the cuticle over going on stage, you definitely start to miss something like that.

I do get a good education through online schooling, though, it's just a lot harder considering I don't have a teacher there to help me when I have questions on the number four in the math packet, which doesn't even exist.

I quickly stole a piece of popcorn, tossing it into my mouth as I walked over to the soda fountain. I was shocked at the minimal amount of people at the theater today,  but I shouldn't have been because it was a Monday, and I usually came here on a weekend. Only one other person was by the fountains; a girl around my age. She was cute; long, silky, brown hair that fell to her mid back, slim body and nice bust, but that wasn't what I paid attention to most. It was her striking blue eyes which captivated me, keeping me wanting more.

Once I had filled my cup, I went to grab a lid from the small dispenser in the corner, but the thing would not come out. It was probably a lot easier than I was making it look, but no matter how hard I tried, I either could not get a grip on the stupid thing, or it was stuck. I heard a small chuckle from beside me, and saw a hand come up and pull the lid from the thing. "Need some help there?" I turned, finding the girl with the blue eyes and a smile, just like the woman's at the front desk; kind, and warm. I smiled back at her, and took the lid gently from her hands.

"Thanks." I mumbled. I could feel my cheeks turning a shade of deep red, which just added to the embarrassment. The girl giggled and held her hand out.

"I'm Emily." She said. Her voice was smooth and girly, in no way sexy, yet still so captivating and pretty. I took her hand, gladly shaking it.

"Shawn."  I replied, doing my best to keep my cool. I was never good at talking to girls, which is humiliating to say, but true. "What are you seeing?" I asked, hoping I'd get a chance to spend a little more time with this girl.

"Um, Pitch Perfect." She replied, glancing down at the ticket in her hand. I nodded, trying to hide the fact that I truly wanted to see her again, but not wanting to come across as a total creep. I nodded.

"Cool...uh maybe we talk again?" I asked, anxiety building up inside. To my amusement, she nodded, smiling again. "Oh, cool. Yeah, uh, meet me out here after the movie?"

"Sounds good to me. Nice to meet you, Shawn."  Emily said happily, giving a little wave as she walked away. I smiled, taking a sip of my soda and walking into the theater.
