Harmuth was never the most aesthetically town, it was dull and grey. The buildings were ageing impatiently, like they wanted to crumble down to some dust and brickwork...but this is what gave the buildings character. Harmuth was once a prominent fishing town that people all over would come to exploit the fishing trade that existed. Now all that remained were the historic remnants of a one famous fishing town...ablaze with not the mayor running the town, but the infected.

James handled the black leather steering wheel and swivelled it to the right, for miles he could see the once happy residents of Harmuth now roaming the streets in hunger for flesh. “It may get a little bit faster...we have a lot to get through.” His voice sounded so assertive and courageous, he seemed no longer frightened but willing to do whatever it took to keep him and his friends alive. The van pushed forwards through the waves of the roaming deceased, slamming into their bodies and tossing them aside, the group watched as the bodies sailed in the wind as though they were made from paper.

They had to go through the town centre in order to reach Kayleigh's house...they knew it wouldn't be an easy trip. The town centre was busy on any day of the week, the market was what attracted them; but now they knew it would be that extra challenge to make it through market day. Toby began to cough and blood splattered from his mouth and onto the floor, it began to drip violently from the side of his mouth and his eyes began to close.

Crow sat back down at the table and began to feed the bullets and shells to his weapons, like they were some sort of animal. He cared or his weaponry, which was understandable. “My mother gave me this gun, told me it belonged to my grandmother back in the war time, my granddad gave it to her to defend herself should any soldiers invade their home.” He paused and opened his mouth to speak, no words came out and he went back to filling his guns. “What's with all this rain Crow? I mean the weather could at least be a little bit nicer, right?” He looked at her and shrugged “I don't know, I am not a weatherman, I am a zombie killer.” He laughed and slipped his jacket back on from the back of the chair.

Nobody had noticed that Toby had closed his eyes, Katie looked back at him for a second and caught a glance of his fading consciousness “Toby? Toby, wake up dammit!” She began to shake him and his eyes reopened but he was still in a dozy and dream like state. “What happened?” He coughed up a severe amount of blood again, it splattered those who were in close range. Joe leaned in and put his fingers on Toby's lips as though to silence him “You need to conserve your strength, that was quite an impact your body took.” He nodded whist swerving his head slightly, like he couldn't keep control of it. Sam walked to the grate that separated the driver and passenger seat from the back of the van. “James, we need to pick up Kayleigh and head straight to a hospital, I fear he may not make it at this rate.” He nodded and Sam felt the vehicle speed up slightly.

Erin was slumped in the corner, she wasn't as in bad a state as what Toby was but she too was still pretty bad. Callum pointed off to the right and James guided the wheel to his direction. They had ended up in a very narrow road, cars either side which made the road thinner. The infected were waiting for them, they swarmed the vehicle and hammered on the side of it in an attempt to break in. The van was pretty strong and seemed to withstand a fair bit of damage...but they hadn't expected something. A large force came from the back of the van which seemed to push it forward, it shook everyone aggressively and they all fell to the floor.

Upon checking the rear view mirror, Callum saw it...the beast which had injured both Toby and Erin, it had followed them and was back to finish the job. Callum was traumatized after watching this thing beat the consciousness from his friends. “Oh shit, prepare for impact...it's back!” The van shook again, the wheels struggled to find the road as the vehicle was lifted into the air slightly.
