Hinata's POV ~
Music is everywhere to me. The way the birds chirp in the early morning, the sound of the wheels on my bike rolling against the ground, the squeaks off my fellow volleyball team members' shoes on the gym floor. It's all wonderful music.
But before, it used to be dull.
Nothing was music at all. It all just seemed like background noise to me. Nothing extraordinary had ever been heard by my ears before. It all was just a dull blur to me. Nothing was ever interesting, and frankly the dull and boring life didn't fit too well for me.
I craved excitement in my life. A challenge. An experience. I didn't know where I could find it, but I know I had to look. For years I yearned for the amazing sound I needed to fill my life with color. I searched everywhere, hoping one day it would come to me, but I gave up hope. Time was going by fast, the faith I put into my search was decreasing. I didn't know how long I could go until I finally put it to rest. Once I got to highschool, the little hope I had left escaped my body. I thought my life would always be dull. I thought I would never hear any wonderful music.
That's what I thought at least. Until I met him.
He was the one who filled my entire world with music for the first time. He gave my life actual purpose and meaning. It seemed like I had a whole new perspective on everything around me. I'm quite shocked that I used to consider everything "background noise". My entire life has been flipped around. I'm able to hear everything for what it is. Beautiful music. All because of him. I smiled deeply to myself as I thought of him.
Kageyama Tobio.
When I first met him, my life completely changed. He pulled so much out of me. Fear, anger, excitement, determination, passion. I've never met someone who could make such an impact like that. It makes my heart beat so fast it feels like it'll pound out of my chest. He leaves my head spinning with every word he says. Yeah I mean he can be pretty scary and an overall jerk, but he comes around. He seems all tough on the outside, but he's a really great guy. I honestly can't explain my feelings for him, but I know they're made of love.
"Oi, dumbass. Stop daydreaming and start spiking my tosses."
I smiled as I let a light pink dust my cheeks. Without thinking I ran up to Kageyama, wrapping him in an embrace.
"Thank you, Kageyama. Thank you so much! Thank you..." I said as I buried my face into his chest, tears starting to sting my eyes.
"W-What are you doing?..D-Dumbass Hinata!" He said, confused by my actions.
I released him and looked up at his deep blue eyes, my lips creating a smile.
"Nothing! Enough talk! Give me another toss!"
His toss. One of the greatest sounds I've heard.
