A/N: The inspiration for this poem comes from "Dear Father" by PRETTYBRI27. It's like a sister poem to that poem. I would recommend you to check hers out because it's amazing. I hope my poem does hers justice.

Dear Mother
The woman who was always here
One person I could rely on
I knew you'd never disappear
Unlike my father who had run
The times when I was in tears
As father had once again gone
You were there to wipe them away
And told me to hold on
Dear Mother
When I had fallen and ended up in hospital
You held my hand until I had woken
You made my stay funny and comical
The subject of my absent father was left unspoken
You later had found another man
He left you like father had done
But you carried and went on
Found another who was better than father by a ton
Dear Mother
I'm all grown up now
I know you're very proud
As you've watched me grow
Oh, how long you have prayed
Although I still do wonder at times
About the words father would have said
Leaving us behind was his biggest crime
But now all I will do is look ahead
Dear Mother
You're the strongest person I know
But now it is my turn to look after you
You should know I would never let you go
I'll be the person you turn to
I know now father has another
I know he is old and slow
But he knows he is a bother
It's his fault we're his biggest woe
Dear Mother
All you've ever been is good
Your love as immense as the sea
I wish you could
See just how much you mean to me
