Digimon Tri: Fusion Evolution

Episode 16: A Christmas Miracle pt. 1

Lapis sighed softly as she looked at the Christmas tree in front of her. She had gotten used to being in America for the holidays. What she wasn't used to was the absence of her American friends, who now ran rampant in the Digital World.

Since she had been given her Digivice, three of her closest friends had gone missing. She had seen two of them in the Digital World. She just knew that the other one was out there in the Digital World, too. Afterall, it was all because of him that she was ever on the wrong side of the war.

"That's it." She growled, swiping her Fusion Loader off of her desk. "I'm going to find them!"

"Ma'am?" Wanyamon mumbled sleepily. "What's going on?"

"We're going to find and save my friends! It's almost Christmas! They need to come home!" Lapis said with such determination, she'd give the creators of Undertale a run for their money.

"I'll go wherever you go!" Wanyamon said. "Let's go!"

Pointing her Fusion Loader at her laptop, she felt herself get digitalised. "Chase, Aubrey, Jesse... I'm coming for you!"

"Coredramon, let's finish this!" A blonde boy said, standing on top of his partner. The green dragon continued his rampage, destroying everything in his path.

"Let's go, Lekismon!" A voice yelled. Aubrey pointed her finger at an upcoming village.

"Moon Night Kick!" Lekismon charged and kicked in one of the buildings, destroying any Digimon inside.

"Fira Dive!" Firamon shouted flames engulfed more buildings and Digimon as it was all reduced to data and rubble.

Lapis emerged close to the scene, Gaomon already there beside her. "This is evil!"

Lapis clenched her fists tightly. "We can't let them do this... They have to realize what they are doing is wrong!"

"Hey you! You're all on Santa's Naughty List!" Gaomon yelled taunting. He gained the attention of Firamon and Chase.

"Fira Dive!" Firamon charged.

"Subzero Ice Punch!" A voice yelled. Frigimon showed up and landed an icy punch at Firamon, sending him back, despite the fire engulfing the Digimon's paw.

"Snow Barrier!" Another Digimon yelled. This one had a gruff voice and looked like Ogremon, but blue. A wall of ice flew up from the ground, shielding Lapis and Gaomon.

"Are you okay?" A third voice asked. This one belonged to an Agumon.

"Agumon, you changed." Lapis said with a tilt of her head.

"I'm SnowAgumon!" The white Agumon grinned.

"And I'm Hyogamon." The blue Ogremon said. "This is Frigimon. We're the ones who live in the village they are destroying."

"I'm so sorry..." Lapis replied. She pulled the SnowAgumon into a hug. "I promise... We're going to make them good again and rebuild your village."

Meanwhile, the Digidestined were gathered together, ready to spend the holidays together. Even Caitlin and Michaela had joined them via Skype.

"I can't get a hold of Lapis at all, and that's not like her." Caitlin said with despair.

"Could she have went to the Digital World?" Matt asked. He leaned cooly against the wall.

"Maybe... But it's Christmas... Why would she be there and not here?" Biyomon chirped.

"Could she be in trouble?" Patamon questioned.

"We should find out." Tai said. "If she's in trouble, we can't just leave her."

"But, Tai, it's Christmas!" Davis protested.

"Yeah? And Lapis is our friend. We can't just abandon her on Christmas!" Gomamon piped up.

"Yeah, that would put us on Santa's Naughty list!" Veemon said.

"Then it's settled. Let's go!" Kari said.

Firamon, Coredramon, and Lekismon all banded together to break down the wall of ice. No way was a little traitor and some winter Digimon going to ruin their plans.

"If we can Digivolve, we can completely obliterate them once and for all." The boy on Coredramon said.

"We can Fuse together." Chase said.

"Yeah... We can.." Aubrey muttered. Deep down, she hated what she was doing. She couldn't even remember why she was fighting for Devimon and his goons.

"Let's do it! Firamon!" Chase said.

"Wait. A fusion would be great, but the three of our Digimon as Ultimates alone would be best. We could cover more ground." The boy said.

"Jesse..." Aubrey sighed. She shook her head, deciding that she had had enough of this. "I can't let you both do this.. I'm sorry."

"What? Are you crazy?" Firamon growled.

"No, she's a traitor." Coredramon hissed. "And what do we do with traitors?"

"Destroy them." Jesse hissed.

"Strike Bomber!" Coredramon yelled. He slammed his tail towards Lekismon.

"Nova Blast!" A voice bellowed. A blast of fire slammed into the attack, dispersing it and saving Lekismon.

"We broke through. We can deal with them later." Chase said. He and Firamon charged through the hole towards Lapis.

Lapis and Gaomon saw Firamon charging at them. What they didn't see coming was Firamon changing.

"Firamon!" Chase called.

Firamon began to glow. "Firamon digivolve to... Flaremon!" In Firamon's place was a tall orange lion with a large yellow mane and fire coming from different spots.

"He's an Ultimate..." Lapis gasped, cowering down.

"Snow Barr-" Hyogamon began to form his attack.

"Crimson Beast King Wave!" Flaremon shouted. From his hands, he shot a blast of energy that looked like a lion's head. It slammed into Hyogamon and sent him flying.

"Hyogamon!" Lapis gasped. Tears pooled in her eyes, but she held them back. Chase was her best friend. How he was this cruel now, Lapis couldn't explain it.

Her chest began to glow with the Crest of Miracles. Bright yellow light engulfed Gaomon. "Gaomon digivolve to... Gaogamon! Gaogamon digivolve to...." In place of the wolf was a two-legged, large wolf beast with jet packs and metal fists. "MachGaogamon!"

"Oh, MachGaogamon, how nice it make this a fair fight. At least now you'll be a worthy opponent to destroy." Flaremon hissed.

"Lapis!" Voices shouted. The blue haired girl was engulfed in hugs by Caitlin and Michaela.

Lapis ignored them, looking at her partner. "MachGaogamon, let's make a Christmas miracle! Take them out!"
