Detention (Teacher/Student)

Chapter 11

      "Dude, where have you been?" Pet immediately asked me once I found her in the stands at the soccer game. I was only 10 minutes late.

      "I got caught up at the mall," I lied. I hated lying to her, but it wasn't the time or place to even think about telling her about Dan.

      She gave me an unsatisfied look, but didn't go any further. We turned to the game and started cheering for Kyle.

      It was 7 when I finally got home from the game. We had won 5-3 and Kyle had a goal and 2 assists.

      "Mom, dad, I'm home," I called out, shutting the front door. Silence. I walked past the living room, nobody. I peered into the den, empty. I entered the kitchen and found a note on the counter.

      "Went out to dinner with the Miller's. Should be back around 10 or 11. There's pasta in the fridge. -Mom & Dad"

      Now that I knew where they were, I relaxed a little. I loved having the house to myself. Especially after today's events, I need some alone time to just think about everything.

      Grabbing a granola bar, I went upstairs and started a bath. Once it was filled, I turned some music on and slid out of my clothes and into the tub. Feeling the warmth engulf me, I laid back and closed my eyes, my whole body relaxing. My mind was on one thing: Mr. Reynolds. This afternoon had been amazing. It felt so right. Any other time I would feel like this was moving way too fast, but with him everything seemed different. The way his touch made my skin tingle. The way he held me and kissed me. No other guy has ever made me feel this way before.

     As if on cue, my phone vibrated and slid off of the edge of the tub and into the water.

      "Damn," I said, fishing it out. Good thing I had a waterproof case on. I dried the screen off with a towel and read the new message.

        ~ Today felt so right~

      I smiled to myself before unlocking my phone and responding.

      ~You can say that again~

      I didn't have to wait long for a response.

      I rolled my eyes, chuckling softly.

             ~Okay funny guy~

            ~Another one of my charming complexities~

              ~You're pretty cocky. Especially this afternoon😏~

      I smirked to myself, proud of my comeback.

               ~So much for "You don't have to be embarrassed" ~

                ~That doesn't mean I can't have a little fun with myself~

               ~Can I get in on some of that action?~

        I couldn't help but blush when I read the message. I definitely walked right into that one.

             ~You know what I meant~

              ~That's another for the teacher. Anyways, I just wanted to tell you I had a lot of fun today. I've got to get back to grading your guys' stupid labs.~

             ~Don't assign them then. It would be a win-win for everyone.~

             ~I'd much rather just make out with you on my desk~

          I smiled and blushed again at the thought.

              ~We should try it sometime. Maybe I'll get a detention tomorrow😏~

            I laughed and set my phone back down, running through the previous afternoon over and over.

This was sort of short, but I updated twice last night and I wanted to get another up tonight as a holiday present to you all.☺️
I for one am celebrating Christmas tomorrow, so Merry Christmas to anybody who is as well. Happy every other holiday to anybody who does not celebrate Christmas. I know there is a lot out there, and I don't want to name some and offend anybody by not naming theirs. I hope you all enjoy the holidays and stay safe. I'll update again either later tonight or maybe tomorrow night 😛😁
