Chapter Two

Lux's POV

I have been running for 2 hours. I shift back into my human and start walking. Being a Royal wolf I sift back with a new set of clothes.

'You should have stayed put.' My wolf Xanthea says to me and I mentally shake my head. I freeze when I hear a twig snap. Half expecting a rouge to step out I growl when a vampire walk out. After about 2 minuets I am surrounded by vampires.i let out a growl when Jason walks forward. "Don't worry, they won't hurt you unless I tell them to." Jason says and I roll my eyes. "Go put a stake through your heart." I sneer and he chuckles. "You Royal wolves are so stupid and..." "Ummm Jason it's snowing." One of his friends whisper to him. "What are you doing?" Jason asks me and I don't get to answer as I am pushed to the side. Standing in front of me is is father. Suddenly the forest is filled with the screeching of bats. My dad growls and it was than that I realise Jason had shifted into the biggest vampire bat I have ever seen. My dad shifts and lunges at Jason. Jason flies forward crashing into my dad. After 10 minuets of snapping, rolling, growling and screeching, Jason has my dad pinned to the ground. Two other vampires go over to them and hold my dad down. In a blink of and eye, I am pinned to a tree with a 2 meter vampire bat towering over me.

After a while I look behind Jason and see my dad unconscious and pale. "You didn't." I sneer at him and his bat smiles. "No. I didn't. They did." He answers me and I growl. I look around and see the snow has picked up and it is a lot colder than before. Jason lets me go and shifts back. Just like me he has a new set of clothes. 'I say we run.' Xanthea says to me. 'The a that has to be the worst idea you have ever said in your whole life.' I say back to her. "Do me a favour Lux. Get rid of this stupid snow." Jason grumbles and I growl not doing anything. "Don't push your limits mut." He sneers glaring at me. "Lux!" He growls taking a step forward. "At the same time you put a stake through your heart, jump off a cliff." I sneer and in an instant I'm slammed against a tree with Jason I front of me. His pearl white fangs too close to my neck. "If I hear one more word out of you I wOnt hesitate. Now for the last time. Get. Rid. Of. The. Snow." He says slowly And I gulp. " I. Can. Not." I answer just as slow. "I. Don't. Know. How." Jason takes a step back running his hand through his hair in frustration. "Come here." He says and I gulp down my fear as I walk over to him. He shifts back into his bat and I whimper. I squeal as he picks me up in his claws and flies off towards the school. Landing outside the enters nice to the school. He looks over at me and I glare at him. "You can pick 2 people to come which you." He says to me. I start walks towards to doors when I stop. I turn around and look at Jason who is no longer a bat. "Can I pick three?" I ask him. "Who is the third?" "My sister." I answer him and he hisses. "NO!" He growls pushing me inside.

Walking down the hall I literally crash into Jazz and Kylie. "Lux!" They squeal at the same time. "How did you get away?" Kylie asks me. "She didn't." Jason answers Kylie walking up behind me. Grumbling I roll my eyes at him. "I can handle this." I sneer at him and I hear him leave. Breathing a sigh of release I turn back to the girls. "Look. You don't have to but Jason said that I could choose 2 friends with me. But if you choose not to I need you to look after my sister." I say to them and Kylie sighs. "Lux's much as we want to come it's you...... We don't want to be around him." She says and I nod. "Well than. I guess this is goodbye." I say giving them both a hug and walk out the doors. I walk over to Jason holding back tears. Walking up to him I slap him across the face. Hard. "IF YOU WERN'T A VAMPIRE. IF YOU WEREN'T AS CRULE AND RUTHLESS AS YOU ARE, THAN MABEY I WOULD HAVE FRIENDS TO COME WITH ME!" I scream at him tears rolling down my cheeks as I walk away.

Jason's POV

As I see her walk aver to me I wonder where her friends are. She keeps walking over to me and I see tears in her eyes. Next thing I know she has slapped me across the face. Hard. I look back at her and she starts screaming at me. By the end I see tears rolling down her cheeks as she starts to walk away. "Lux babe, wait." I call after her and she stops. She turned around and I have a mental breakdown with myself as I see her face. "Don't call me babe." She sneers at me and I walk over to her. "NO. JUST LEAVE ME ALONE." She screams bursting into tears. I grab her by the waist and pull her into a hug. She stars to kick and hit me but I hold her tighter. After about 5 minuets she stops struggling and sniffs. I put my head into her neck and breath in. I notice her breathing go even and I gently pick her up bridal style and walk over to shift flying over to my dads.

I have been flying for an hour when my dads mansion comes into view. Landing on the front laws I shift back into my human. I walk over to the front door and it opens. Walking into the living room I lay Lux down on one of the coupes when I hear the running of feet and the flapping of wings. "JASON!" I hear two familiar voices scream. I turn around just in time to be pulled into a bone crushing hug. "Hi.. Mum..... I..... Can't breath." I manage to breath out smiling. "Sorry honey, it's just so go of to see you again after so long." My mum says and I laugh. "Jason look. I finally have my bat." Mavis screams with excitement at me and I turn to look at her pure black bat. "It's good to see you too Mavis. " I say smiling at her. "JASON!" I hear my fathers voice from the other side of the house. I see a shadow come around the corner and I lower my head. "Jason, enough. I'm not king anymore. You are." My father says and I was about to answer when a pearling scream sound around the room. Turning around my eyes meet the purple ones of Lux.
