Not long, I heard footsteps approach me. It was Kimi and Hikaru. Kimi looked mad, presumably at Hikaru though her green eyes showed concern. Hikaru on the other hand didn't look happy at all. I stood up as they were in arms reach. Kimi nudged Hikaru forward.
"I'm sorry," he apologised.
"He can be a total nuisance at times but he isn't all bad," Kimi said as she tried to comfort me.
"No it's not his fault. He didn't do anything. I just feel a little homesick, that's all. A little fresh air was all I needed," I lied as I gave the two a little smile.
"I was worried he freaked you out or something," Kimi sighed with relief. "But are you okay?"
"I'm fine. I'm feeling better know," I assure her.
"Are you sure you're not mad at me?" Hikaru asked.
"I'm not mad at you. Although I was serious about you staying 30 centimetres away from me," I replied.
"Ha ha, I'll keep that in mind," the red head chuckled.
"You two can go without me. I just want to stay for a little bit longer before I come in," I told them before they left me.
Once they were gone, I sighed with relief. I was alone once more, thank goodness. I ran my tongue over my teeth, especially my canines. They were long and pointy. Before going back to class, I took a detour to the girls bathroom. As expected, my canines weren't normal. It looked like I had fangs, which was pretty sweet, to me that is. I'm not sure how a normal person would react but I found this cool. They began to shrink until it was back to its original form. I sighed in disappointment as I went back to class.
Soon, the bell rang, signalling the end of school. As I went to my locker, I noticed a certain red head standing there.
"Hey, um about earlier, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to startle you or anything and I uh, was just wondering, if we can, uh, if we can hang out together. You know, so we can get to know each other more and stuff. Because, I mean, I'd like to get to know you and-"
He was cut off all a sudden. I looked up at his face, which was as red as a tomato. Looking behind me, it was then I realised why he stopped talking.
"Seems the rumours were true," Natsuno said coolly.
"What did you do to Arisu-chan?" Tooru asked. He was only curious from what he heard.
Before Hikaru could talk, I explained what had happened.
"But what was he trying to do?" Tooru questioned.
"That's what I'd like to know," I said looking at the red headed teen.
"I, I was only trying to put some of your hair back since you were reading," he madly blushed. By then, things were feeling awkward. To end it, I quickly said my goodbyes before leaving. Tooru and Natsuno caught up later on.

Time skip...
I spent the whole afternoon avoiding Tooru. Knowing he was going to ask me all these questions I didn't want to answer but had to due to our "wager", I did my best to hide. My house wasn't safe, so I wandered around the forest and stuff so people won't see me. That was until I bumped into Natsuno. Before he could say anything I quickly covered his mouth. This wasn't an easy task for be since I was short.
"You never saw me. This never happened. Capiche?"
Natsuno on the other hand only frowned at me. Before I could run off again, he grabbed hold of my wrist.
"You are seriously weird, you know that. By the way, Tooru-kun is looking for you,"
"I already know that. So before he figures out where I am and before it gets dark, let go of me," I said as I free myself from his grip. "You never saw me," I repeated as I ran off. On my way back home, I had an uneasy feeling. It was as if I was being watched. Looking around me, I found myself alone except for a blonde haired guy walking towards me.
By the time I realised that it was Tooru, it was too late. He had already seen me and was waving and calling out to me. His arms were thrown around my small body as he hugged me. Because he was taller than me, I was lifted off the ground.
"Seems like I'm interrupting something," a familiar calm voice said.
"It's not what it seems like," I muttered as I tried to free myself. "Tooru, let go of me. You know how much I don't like this," I growled at him.
Noting the anger in my voice he set me down on my feet. Again, an uneasy feeling washed over me. I ignored it when I saw a truck driving towards the old castle on the hill.
I guess people are living there now.
