I wake up to the sound of Frigga crying and check her diaper. I change it and feed her. I rock her until she falls asleep again and put her back in her crib. I lie back down and she starts crying again. I pick her up and she stops immediately. I lie down in bed and keep her on my chest.
She falls asleep immediately and I admire her. She is the most beautiful baby I've ever seen, but of course I'm going to say that, she's my daughter. She looks exactly like Thor and it's adorable. I can't get over it. I fall asleep looking at her.
I wake up again to her being lifted off my chest. I sit up groggily, not processing what's going on. I rub my eyes and see Thor's goofy grin. I have to do a double take before I believe it's him. I squeal and jump out of bed. He holds one arm out for me to run in to.
Thor squeezes me tight and Frigga giggles. We both smile at her and I look at him looking at her. I'm in love with that look. He meets my eyes and kisses me softly.
"I missed you so much. God, I'm such a baby," I laugh.
"I missed you. It is not the same fighting without you, although I'm glad you weren't there," he kisses my forehead.
"What even happened? Heimdall couldn't see you at one point."
He gulps and takes a minute to answer, "We attacked a Hydra base, Stark found all this stuff, made it come to life, it attacked us, these two enhanced people were with him, then they changed their minds and joined us. This program is called Ultron and he made himself a body, that's how he attacked us. We lost an Avenger."
I gasp, "Who was it?"
"One of the enhanced. His sister killed Ultron."
"That's horrible. He was barely an Avenger."
"He saved Barton and a child," he answers despondently.
"I wish I could've met him," I say.
Thor doesn't reply, so I ask why Heimdall lost sight of him.
"The other twin used mind control on all of us," Thor replies.
"What did you see?"
He looks down, "I don't want to talk about it."
I respect his privacy and leave it at that. I decide not to mention the person that followed me a while ago. I don't want to worry him. We stand in our embrace for a few more minutes. I'm content with our little family. Thor releases me and sits down on our bed with Frigga in his lap.
"I've missed my beautiful princess," he says in a baby voice and touches her face.
Frigga smiles a toothless grin at him and my heart melts watching them. I couldn't be happier to be with him and I forget about all of my troubles watching the exchange. He's such a great father. Who knew that such a fierce warrior could be so gentle?
Thor rocks her until she falls asleep and sets her back in her crib. He climbs into our bed next to me and pulls me against him. He lightly kisses my temple and inhales deeply.
"If anything were to happen to this kingdom, would you blame me?" he asks suddenly.
"Not if you weren't directly involved with it," I turn and examine his face. He looks concerned.
"If something happened because someone wanted to get back at me, would you blame me then?"
"Thor, I would never blame you unless you went on a crazy rampage and started murdering everyone in the kingdom. If someone attacked us because they wanted to get back at you, the blame falls on them. Why are you asking?"
