Chapter 23~ principals office

KAYLAS POV

*the next day*

I get up and realise, damn, school. I struggle to get up but eventually do, I then have a shower, and then dry myself with a towel and then put on my school uniform. After that I brush my hair then go down and have breakfast, I then go back upstairs and brush my teeth. I then grab my bag and phone, I put my earphones in and start my playlist and start to walk to school. "KAYLA KAYLA WAIT UP" I hear a voice call from behind me, I turn around, take out one of my earphones and see Ethan puffing "whats up with you?" He asks me painting, trying to catch his own breath.
"Nothing" I raise an eyebrow at him. "Well you didn't reply to my messages, then didn't wait for me to walk to school together and you start walking REALLY fast." He said just catching his breath

"Ethan, I didn't get your messages, and I'm just in my normal routine, we haven't walked to school together in so long, it kinda just slipped my mind" I say giving him my hand. "And I wasn't walking that fast" I say smiling at him.

*skip to roll call*

I walk into the roll call classroom and sit with Gemma and Chris,we get our names marked off then a new student walks in the teacher then intorduces him "class this is Kai Made (pronounced Ka-eye Ma-day) he has just come from Bali and is new, would anyone like to volunteer to show him round?" No one put their hand up. "Fine then Miss Harden you can look after Mr Made" I rolled my eyes at the teacher, making sure she didn't see then smiled at her, i grabbed my bag and walked up to the new guy, I have to admit he is pretty good looking. (Guy in the photo above, he was off good luck Charlie's episode when they go to Hawaii and yeah just imagine him a little younger) I asked him for his timetable and he handed it to me I checked and we had all classes together. The bell for first period went and then my phone buzzed, I took it out of my pocket and say a text from Ethan.

I then put my phone back in my pocket and walked Kai to first period. On the walk neither of us talked, but finally he piped up.

"So was that your boyfriend you were texting before" he asked, I just nodded and we walked into science. "Will he be in our class?" He asked.

"Um no he's in a different class but we have wood work and art together"

"Okay well he must be pretty hot to be dating you" he said with a smirk on his face, I just ignored him. "Look I know we hardly know each other but can you at least try and be friends with me"

"Sorry, yeah sure" I smiled

"So can I have your number?" He asked, I thought about it then decided to be friendly and go along with it. I gave him my number and he gave me his, we then talked and got to know each other.
ETHANS POV

In roll call the teacher tells me I have to go to the principal, I grab my bag and walk up to the administration, I tell the ladies in the office and they let me into Mrs Berkely, the new principals office. "Hello Mr Karpathy" she says in her annoying high-pitched voice waving her hand gesturing me to come in and sit in the chair across from her. I sigh and take off bag then sit down in the chair. "Mr Karpathy, Mr Karpathy" she sighs. "So how's life" she asks, I hate the principal, and she hates me back. I've had a bad past with her and I will do anything to get out of that room.

"Did I just walk into mothers club?" I ask kind of smugly.

"1 you need to watch your language and 2 no, we are here to talk about your attendance. You have missed 87% of the year, and soon you will be in year 9. Do I expect to see you next year at this school?"

"Yes"

"Okay because next year will be your last year here if you have over 25% days off"

"What if I get a note from my mum to explain"

"Not from you we can't, after you and Miss Casner forged your parents signatures, no. We can only take a phone call or if one of your parents comes in, not a text, not an email, we have to have confirmation"

"Okay, can I leave now?"

"No. We got a call from your mother yesterday saying that you got back who your old girlfriend and you two were too tired, Is that right?"

"Yes"

"And is it Miss Casner or Miss Harden?"

"Kayla"

"I thought so"

"How?" I chuckled

"Because your here today..." She smiled at me "second thing, because of all the drama that went on with Miss Casner you will be moving for the rest of the year to Miss Hardens class, all the teachers know and the rolls have been fixed, you may leave now, here's your timetable and its first period still"

"Thank you" I say grabbing the timetable then picking up my bag, I walk out and check the timetable to see what class I have. Science. I walk straight down to science and stand outside the door and look in to see who was in Kayla's class, I see her with a guy, they're smiling at each other and laughing. What? I wonder.

I walk in, hand the note to the teacher, I wait for him to read it then he announces to the class "okay 8G listen up please" the whole class goes silent and starts staring at me, I don't really care, I don't mind attention. "Mr Karpathy will be joining your class for the rest of the 7 weeks left of this year. Ethan go take a seat where ever" he says, I then by pass Kayla and the other boy and go straight to H(short for Henry because he hates his name), Kev(short for Kevin) and Chris.

I say hi to the guys then look at Kayla, she gives me a weird look, she then gets up from her chair and comes up to me, she grabs my hand and pulls me to the back of the classroom. "How come you didn't sit next to me?" She says, we look into each others eyes, I can tell she's innocent because it looks like she's about to cry. I then keep my spot with her safe and kiss her. Everyone turns around and is now staring at us, they all  start cooing and we stop "just wanted to spend some time with the boys" I say and we smile then turn around to find the whole class still staring at us. I look at that new guy, he was giving me a death stare, i didn't give him one in return because other wise the whole class would see. I just look away and Kayla goes and sits back down next to him, Gemma and Sarah. The whole class is back to their own conversations now, I start talking to the boys then whilst H was talking I looked at Kayla, she was talking to Sarah and that new guy was staring at me, I death stared at him and he death stared back. He then flipped at bird at me (puts up his middle finger🖕🏾) so I give him one back, Kayla then turned around and saw me...

Ohhhh cliffhanger hahahahhaha 😵😵 tryna make the chapters about 2000 words but I totally stuffed on this chapter, should I start doing word counts? This ones about 1300.... Sooo yeahhhh. How ya like the new guy😏😏 please comment or message, love feed back!
