Prolouge:
What happens when two different people from two different worlds come together and fall in love. Taylor came from a world where she was spoiled crazy, and Tobi came from a world where you had to work for what you wanted. Now what do you think is going to happen when Taylor is forced to move to Texas with her grandmother and is put to work so she can see how much it takes to pay for everything of hers?
Chapter 1:
It was a bright and sunny morning in Californa, when Taylor woke up that Sunday morning. Summer vacation had just started a few weeks ago and she was excited for the summer, that was until later that day when her parents called her in for a talk.
"Now Taylor do you know why we called you in here to talk".
"No, but can we hurry up, i do have a party to go to"
"Your not going anywhere tonight Taylor, your grounded"
"What do you mean grounded, ive never been grounded before"
" Well that was the mistake we made, Taylor we just got your cellphone bill. You went over yet again, but this time it was to much. We may be rich but this is the last straw Taylor over $700 worth of minutes over, this is not acceptable. Me and your father talked and well, your spending this summer with your grandmother in Texas, she has a job set up there for you and your going to make your own money to see how much we spend on you"
"No, thats not fair. This is my last summer before I start my senior year. I have plans, I have partys, you cant do this to me."
"We can, and we are. You need to learn that you cant just get everything handed to you your entire life. Youll have a 3 days to prepare and then your going to Texas until the last week of August. Hopefully within tht time you will learn that you will have to work for some things in life, instead of just getting everything handed to you"
She stormed off as she said "Your ruining my life".
A few hours later, Taylor was on the phone with one of her friends when her parents walked in to talk to her again.
"What do you want, come in here to ruin my life again?".
"Will you stop saying that, were trying to do whats best for you"
"Emily, she said, ill have to call you back".
"Now, Taylor like i was saying were trying to do whats best for you".
"Then why are you sending me there, you know i wont last there on my own. What if i promise to change, and ill get a part time job here, This is suppose to be my summer before senior year starts, you cant do this to me."
"Taylor there is no changeing our minds. Your going to Texas, and thats final"
"Whatever, can i be left alone now"
"Fine, lights out in by midnight"
"Ya whatever."
"Night, Taylor."
"Night, Taylor said as she was calling Emily back"
The next morning she went downstairs to find a note, that her parents left her. The note said, Taylor went shoping be back soon. You might wanna start thinking about what your going to bring on your trip. Love mom and dad. Taylor immediately called up Emily to come over, and hang out since Taylor only had a few days to spend with all her friends.
"Hay girl, what you wanna do today?"
"I need to get out of this house so bad"
"Wanna go to the mall"
"Sure lets go before my parents get back home, i really dont wanna deal with them right now"
"Okay, lets go"
On thier way to the mall, Taylor got a call from her mom, wondering where she was because she was suppose to be grounded until tomorrow. But her mom let her off since she did stay home all night, and understood she wanted to hang out with her friends.
She only had a couple more days until she left for Texas so she wanted to make it worth it. That night Taylor came home from a party and she was drunk. As soon as she got upstairs she tried sneeking into her room but got caught. Her mom started yelling at her:
"Taylor where have you been!? You were suppose to be home 6 hours ago, i gave you permission to go to the mall and that was it. I most certain did not give you permission to go to a party and come home at 1 in the morning drunk. Go to bed, we will talk to you in the morning more about this."
When she woke up the next morning, she found her parents waiting at the table for her.
"Taylor sit down, we need to talk about last night. Now what you pulled last night is unacceptable. And it gives us more reason to belive what we are doing is the right thing to do. Now about your trip, we have decided that were going to give you a start up fund"
"Really, how much?"
"Well we were going to give you $600 to start but after last nights stunt, your only going to get $250."
"What!? Thats not fair, that will last me a week."
"Well this will prove to us to see if you can make that money last awhile, hopefully even past your first check which you wont get for two weeks. So make that money last".
"So unfair, im leaving now, ill be back at 10."
"Be back by 9, because you need to pack, your leaving tomorrow afternoon."
"What? I wasent suppose to be leaving for atleast another day"
"Well we decided its best if you leave tomorrow. Be back by 9."
"Whatever."
