I had a round-trip flight to Florida, and the ride was great. It was 4 hours, and I got my resume ready, I wrote some lyrics to some songs, and I even double-checked my schedule for UF (University of Florida). My uncle picked me up from the airport, and dropped me off at the house. He told me if there was anything in the house I needed, I could use, and make myself at home. He stuck around for a while, then left. I unpacked everything, then went to the supermarket. I got everything I needed: fruits, vegetables, meat, milk, water, and condiments. I was going to have a salad tonight, so I bought some bleu cheese dressing too. I was looking up and down the aisles, not paying attention to where I was going, because it was 2 am, and there was nobody at the supermarket. Well, apparently there was, and he was hot. He bumped into me, and we both apologized at the same time. We started to talk (I have NO IDEA how that happened), and he was pretty fascinating. He was a year older than me, and he went to UF.

"UF? That's where I'm starting next week." I said.

"I could show you around the campus tomorrow- I mean, I guess today since it's 2..." He responded.

I laughed, and he smiled.

"My name is Jacob, by the way. Jacob White."

"Elisabeth Summers," I replied.

I asked if he wanted my number for later, and I gave him my address because he said he would pick me up to drive me- Yes, I am trusting a stranger I just met. Yes, I am crazy. Yes, he is very attractive.

"Nice to meet you Jacob," I said, "Pick me up around 4?"

"Definitely. What do you want me to call you?" He asked. I thought about it for a moment, then it brought back flashbacks from home. 'Lis, you're a disappointment..' I remembered my dad saying. Then I thought about a better nickname.

"Ellie." I said.

"Nice to meet you, Ellie." I smiled, then walked away. I was blushing, very hard, and I almost forgot how to walk. I checked out, and drove home. Florida, so far, was treating me very well. Let's hope it will stay that way.
