Beep Beep Beep screams the alarm. Oh how I hated being awoken by that stupid clock! It just reminds me I have to get up and go to a cruel place called school. I hate school so much! The people in it drive me nuts! The only reasons I still attend it are because of my best friends Alana & Jacob and of course to graduate to achieve my dream of being a Marine Biologist.
“Riley come down and eat your breakfast before it gets cold!” yelled my mom.
I don’t understand why my mom bothers to cook breakfast for me I never eat the damn stuff! I grabbed my book bag and headed to my car. Today was my first day of being a junior at Charleston High School. Just one more year and I’ll be out of this place.
I was at my locker while I heard someone scream my name.
Riley!!
I turn to see Alana run towards me!
“I just saw the cutest guy walk past me and I think he is gay!” Alana screeched.
I hate when she just assumes when people are gay. But then again she did find out I was gay.
Alana you need to stop trying to set me up with complete strangers! It’s only the first day of school and you’re already setting me up with people! Anyway, where is Jacob I haven’t heard from him all summer?
He’s still visiting his Grandmother in London. He’ll be back on Monday. Alana sighed. Anyway, don’t make any plans today were going to the pool to watch the boys swim team practice.
I didn’t really want to go but the only reason I would agree is because my crush Daniel White was on the team. He was so dreamy!
Sure I’ll be there! I told Alana.
Kay! Meet me at the town pool at 7! Alana said while skipping away.
I made my way to biology, my last class of the day. My teacher, Mr. Fearson went over the usual first day of school stuff you know rules and all the stuff.
Oh I can’t wait to see Daniel swim. I just want to see his tan muscular body and bright blue eyes!
Ahem... Riley is it? Are you paying to any attention to what I am saying? Mr. Fearson said.
Uh yeah sure!
Everyone in the class let out a small giggle.
I should really start paying attention this year.
On my way home I started to think to myself should I let out the secret to the school that I’m gay? Would it ruin my junior year? All these questions are running through my mind so fast. I forgot all these thoughts once I got to my driveway. I ran upstairs to my room and started to get dressed to meet Alana at the pool.
I really needed to go to the mall to get some new close. All my clothes are so old. I just threw on some jeans and a plain white v neck shirt. I was already late so I grabbed a quick snack my mom made.
How was your first day of school? Said my mom
Just like the past 10 first days of school mom.

My mom and I don’t talk so much after my dad left. My mom cheated on my dad with a co worker. After dad finding out they got a divorce and he left. She knows what she did was terribly wrong and understands how what she did changed everyone in this house.
I got into my car and headed towards the pool to meet with Alana. I could imagine Daniel come out the pool all wet with his huge muscles. Just the thought of him turns me on. If only he were gay too.
