Austin’s POV

I sighed as I looked down at April’s body. It’s been 5 months since her sister took the poison out of her and she has still not woken up. I have started to lose hope of her ever waking up, even Marissa was losing faith. She looked a little pale but her face still held its normal smile. Like she could actually hear me.

“Hey baby girl. How are you feeling? It’s been 5 months since you knocked out. Tony is about to be crowned as king. Me and you are royalty. Victor’s ashes have been stirring and your sister can’t chant the spell because you’re the one that needs to do it. He had more of an attraction toward you and the spell only works in that way. Once you get better you can do it.”

She didn’t show any sign of responding, which was a normal thing now. I sat by her bed, talking to her about different things. I told her how much I missed her and everything.

About an hour has passed and of course there was nothing. My mother took this time to step in. “How are things sweetie?”

“She’s still the same. I miss her so much though. I want her to return to me.” I replied not even looking in her direction

“I didn’t ask about her. I asked about you.”

“She is all I focus on. I don’t care about me right now.”

“Sweetie, just pull the plug. She’s not going to wake up. She’s gone. If her sister can’t help her then what makes you think that you can help her?”

“Because I’m her Mutual. Our bond is stronger than the one she has with her sister. I will never have her plug pulled.”

“Well I am. I don’t need my son to be here sulking over a dead witch.  I will help you find another bride. It will look good to the kingdom when all of my sons are married off. You’re brother gets crowned in 3 days.”

“I DON’T CARE MOTHER. I WANT APRIL AND ONLY HER. YOU WILL NOT HARM HER. SHE WILL NOT DIE.”

“I was hoping that you would have understood but you won’t. This is for your own good.” She sighed as her guards came in.

They proceeded to hold me back as the doctors started turning off the machines. “APRIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

I watched as everything turned off. My mother sighed and patted my cheek. “It was for the best sweetheart. Everything is going to be better now. Just you see. We have been striving to be on top for a while now. We have finally reached it and you will have girls lining up to be with you. Don’t you worry about it.”

With that she left the room. Everyone cleared out just in time for me to lose it. I let out a feral roar and I heard the scurrying of feet. Marissa rushed in the room and looked to her sister. “WHO DID THIS? WHY ISN’T MY SISTER HOOKED UP ANYMORE?”

“My mother had me pinned against the wall as the doctors undid her. I tried but what else could I have done?”

I watched as her eyes turned black. I don’t think that’s a good sign. “WHERE ARE THEY?”

Before I could even answer she was floating out the door. I was worried for my mom for minute but then I realized what she had done. I picked up April’s limp body, carrying her after her sister. I don’t know why I did it but I felt like I had to. I sped after Marissa, seeing she had caught up to my mother. Her guards were on the floor, dead. Damn that was kind of harsh.

“WHO GAVE YOU THE RIGHT TO PULL THE PLUG ON MY SISTER? YOU ARE NOT HER MOTHER. YOU ARE NTO EVEN HER MOTHER IN LAW YET. IF YOU HAD A PROBLEM WITH HER BEING HERE THEN I WOULD HAVE TAKEN HER TO SOMEWHERE WE WERE WANTED.”

“I simply didn’t want her around anymore. I mean she was holding my son back. He has been so upset over this girl and there are other women in the world. I don’t understand why this witch is value to us now that we have taken over the throne. This is the reason why you picked her isn’t it, to use her powers then dump her?”

I shook my head. “No mother. I picked her to make you happy and get a bride. Now that I have her and have gotten to know her through all the hell we’ve been in, I can’t help but be with her.”

“Well now she’s dead. Move on. I have a beautiful girl who is of high nobility. She will look amazing by your side and you to will have darling children.” She smiled.

By now Marissa has lost it. She sent out lightning from her fingers, causing my mother to fall to the floor. “So you decided to KILL my sister. You thought of yourself. I would have taken my sister away from here. I went through a lot to make sure my sister wasn’t going to end up in the hands of Victor but at least with him she would have lived. For what you have done I should curse you. This is why my species is wiped out. It’s people like you that abuse our power and then kill us.”

“What the hell is with all the damn shouting? I’m trying to sleep.” I heard a voice say. Everyone gasped and looked toward the person.

“April?” I asked confused.

Hey guys. Alright so I have managed to edit this whole story and I changed names. The only name that really matter that got changed was Jake. His name is now Austin. Do if you're confused about that then I have just explained it. There are a few chapters left to this story. When I say a few I mean less than five most likely. Anyways. I hope I can finish this story by the end of the week if not month. Wish me luck. And I need more perstering. The more you bug me the more I will get annoyed and update.
