Chapter six

It was four in the afternoon by the time we got back home. Jace and I made our way up to my room. Nico was exploring my bed along with Jace lying next to him. I giggled at the sight of them. He fit perfectly with my little family.

"Maiyah!!" I heard Stephen call. Oh yeah. He's family too. Sadly.

I walked to Stephens room and saw him on his computer typing away.

"Yes, your majesty?" I asked, obviously annoyed.

"You're back. Good. I was worried." He said, not even looking away from his monitor.

"You always are, Stephen." I said, about to turn around.

"Maiyah." I turned while rolling my eyes. "I'm going on a business trip. To Botswana." He said, slowly turning to face me.

"Wha...huh?! Botswana!?" I yelled.

"Yeah. A great medical opportunity came up." He smiled while walking towards me.

"I'm so happy for you, bro!!" I smiled, embracing him. I took in his smell, he always smells like latex. His short dirty blonde hair was neatly styled in a quiff. His bright white teeth were in a grin.

"What are you going to do though?" He asked.

"I'm going to do, me. I'm going to do whatever it is, I do." I smiled. "Mom and dad left all of their belongings and money to us. I'll be fine. You have your half and I have mine. Who knows? Maybe I'll go to college and become a great doctor, like you." I giggled, my eyes watering.

"I leave Thursday. You'll be free in about thirty hours. Stay safe. Watch out for yourself. Stop talking to yourself, you freak. Remember me. I don't know how long I'll be but, I love you Mai." Stephen said, getting Teary-eyed.

"I love you too Stephen." I smiled, wiping both of our tears.

We laughed it off and I walked back into my room to see Nico curled up to Jace. Jace looked up to me and smiled. I went to go sit next time and nearly tripped. He started laughing and I shushed him cause Nico was waking up.

"Stephen is leaving for Africa on Thursday. Just you and me from now on." I smiled.

He gently moved Nico and grabbed me and held me. He was really happy.

"But you're going to have to stay the night a lot more often. Or...I can spend the night with you." I giggled.

"Yeah yeah. We'll see." He smiled. "Does that mean I'm staying tonight?"

"I think so." I smiled.

Jaces POV

I woke up do to Nico climbing all over us. Mai and I were cuddling again. Ugh. I love her so much.

"Mai. Wake up Hun." I said, kissing her cheek.

"Hmm?" She said groggily.

"We fell asleep. It's 10:30pm. Wake up, love." I said moving her silver hair out of her face. "Nico's hungry."

She woke up and stretched. She looked adorable. Her bun had fallen, almost completely. Her eyes fluttered open after she yawned. Her shirt fell off of one shoulder, leaving her skin revealing. I sat up and started massaging her shoulders. She jumped at first but she enjoyed it. She rolled her neck to the side and a light moan escaped her lips. She quickly covered her mouth and giggled. My hands remained on her shoulders and traveled to her back. I kissed her neck and wrapped my arms around her from behind.

"Jace..." She whispered.

"Yes, Hun?" I whispered in her ear.

"I love you." She said putting her arms on top of mine, around her and turning her head to look at me.

I replied in a way I've been wanting to for awhile.

Maiyahs POV

Jace woke me up and I was still groggy. I truly was awake after Jace started massaging my shoulders. It felt so good. Not only cause it was a massage, but because it was Jace. I tilted my head for easier access and then he ran his hands down my back and around me. I grabbed ahold of them. He kissed my neck which sent shivers down my body. I didn't want this to end. I didn't want him to let go. I wanted him.

"Jace..." I whispered, wanting to tell him.

"Yes, Hun?" He whispered close to my ear.

"I love you." That was all that came out.

Then, then it happened. He looked into my eyes and kissed me. Not a sloppy kiss, a sweet, passionate kiss. We pulled away and I looked into his grey orbs. They were filled with happiness and passion. I smiled and bit my lip, looking down at his lips and back at him. He got the idea. He turned me around and I put my fingers through his hair, he put his hands on my face and we pulled apart after what seemed like a few seconds when actually it was a lot longer, oops.

"You're mine. Kay?" Jace said looking seriously.

"I always have been. I love that I can call you mine though. It's about time." I smiled.

We stood up and went downstairs with Nico. We decided to see what he would eat, it ended up that cat food was his favorite. While he munched on cat food, I made Jace and I milkshakes. Chocolate and strawberry.

"Here you go babe. Chocolate. Your fave." I smiled and looked up at him. Him being 6'3", and me being 5'6" I was always looking up.

"Yes! Thank you Hun." We took sips and he kissed me softly.

"Yum. Chocolate covered strawberries." I said, smiling.

Jace threw his head back and laughed. We sat on the couches, talking and laughing.

"I love your laugh." Jace said to me.

"Eww. Why?" I said, scrunching my nose.

"I love when you scrunch your nose, only when your upset. It's adorable."

"Oh yeah? I love how you can never get mad at me. When we fight, we stay silent for like five minutes, before you give in."

"Oh that's it!" Jace said dashing towards me.

I ran around the living room before he caught me and started tickling me. He had to stop before I was going to pee myself.

"I think we should go back upstairs. I wanna cuddle." I giggled.

"I'm not arguing with that!" He smiled.

Jace picked me up and swung me over his shoulder. I was giggling the whole way upstairs. I watched Nico trail all the way up the stairs, behind us. Jace threw me on the bed and I was in a fit of giggles. He walked up to my drawers and started rummaging through them. It wasn't his drawer though. He was going through my drawers. He picked out some black, spandex shorts that said "cheer" on the butt and one of my old cheer t-shirts.

"Change." He said sternly, throwing the clothes on my lap.

I went to my bathroom and did as I was told. When I walked out, Jace was in his jeans, shirt off, revealing his perfectly toned body. He eyed me as I eyed him.

"Wow. You never cease to amaze me." I say while looking at him, up and down. He smiled and pulled me into the bed. I giggled and laid on top of him.

"You're the amazing one, babe." He smiled and pecked my lips. We fell asleep like that, breathing in sync.
