"Talia, I have some bad news." The school prinicpal says. I sit apposite her.
"If this is about the Latin test I got 87% on, I promise I'll get better!" I say quickly.
"No, Talia. It isn't." Ms. Hardy interrupts. "Unfortunately, Cho Sin Hun has surpassed your Algebra and Pre-Law GPAs." I try not to panic. "We have to revoke your scholarship to Harvard."

I have to work really, really hard if I'm going to get my scholar ship back. I have to have perfect scores on all my last exams. I have a month before we graduate and it's all set in stone. I have to make the most of it.
I stare at the C- on my English paper. How is that possible?

After class I walk up to our teacher, Mr. Wright.
"Mr Wright?" He turns around. He's not much older than me. He's definitely the best looking teacher at school by a long shot. Chocolate brown hair, and tanned skin.
"Yes, Talia?"
"I wanted to see you about my paper. I worked really hard on it and-"
"Miss Blake, I gave you that mark because you have to learn have you work for things in life."
"Please, Mr Wright. I'll do anything for a better grade. I'll retake the test, I'll-"
"Anything, Talia?" He asks.
"Yes! Anything!" I say desperately. He hands me a pink piece of paper.
"Detention. After school."

I'm the only person in detention. Of course I am. And all the teachers have left by now. It's only me and Mr Wright.
"Talia, come over here." He says. I obey. "You said you were willing to do anything for a better grade, correct?"
"Yes!"
"If you do as I ask, you will receive an A on all future tests, essays, papers and projects."
"Thank you!" I cry. "What do you want?" Hunger flashes in Mr Wright's eyes.
"Kiss me." He says. Something cracks inside me.
"Okay." I whisper.
