Christmas wasn't a celebration that was high on the Winchester list, even Castiel said it was "Biblically incorrect." Too many things were out to ruin the lovely holiday meant to spend time with family and friends. That was not stopping (y/n) though; they were determined to spend Christmas with their dysfunctional, hunting family.
Dean was driving the Impala down the Interstate with Sam in the passenger seat. (y/n) was in the back fidgeting with her bag as she tried to decide the best way to give the guys their presents. At the last hotel, she tried to convince Dean to stay for the night, but he was adamant about staying on the road. It was like he saw through her whole plan.
(y/n) prayed to Castiel and he was sitting beside her in seconds.
"Hello, (y/n). Dean-"
"Cas!" Dean swerved a bit. Fortunately, they were on open road with no one else around. "Damn it, Cas..."
"Hello, Castiel." (y/n) said with a smile.
"Why are you here, man?"
"Nothing's wrong." (y/n) and Sam said of the same time.
"Here, Cas." (y/n) handed him a wrapped box. As she stuck her hand back in her bag, she handed the boys their wrapped presents.
"(y/n), what are these?" Sam asked.
"Your Christmas presents. It's Christmas!"
Dean checked his phone and sure enough it read 12:07.
"(n/n), you know we don't celebrate-"
"Dean!" Sam gently scowled. Dean pulled the Impala over and unbuckled his seatbelt, turned in his seat with his back against his door.
"Thank you, (y/n)... but we didn't get you anything." Sam said quietly.
"That's not what Christmas is about. Now, open your presents, come on!" (y/n) said excitedly.
Sam got his opened first. He stared at the cover of a book, the cover hard to read in the dark.
"Guns for Dummies. How to Properly Clean Your Shotgun? Really?" Sam laughed as he thoguht back to that particular hunt. "Thanks, (y/n)," He said as she laughed with him.
Castiel opened his present. Finding a jar of organic honey from California. He grinned at the small jar; he still had a secret obsession with bees. Dean looked at his gift for a bit, noticed it was wrapped neatly in brown paper bags from the convenient store.
'Inventive.' He thought.
"You got wax for my Baby." Dean chuckled as he unwrapped his present. Well, Baby's present.
"I thought she... I don't know, needed a little love."
"Hey, I love my Baby plenty... Thanks, (n/n)." He smiled happily.
"Thank you, (y/n)." Castiel spoke up. "This was very thoughtful of you."
"You're welcome, guys."
Dean turned back around and started up the Impala again, headed into the next town.
