Oops, I just realized that it is still holiday so that Al can go to school next year, but because I don't know how to change this I'll just start this chapter with the Sorting Ceremony and we'll leave the confusion behind :))

I was already at Hogwarts when the train arrived, I was standing next to Hagrid. When all the students arrived I managed to enter the crowd without everyone thinking I'm mad, which I probably am. We had to go in the boats although I would have preferred not to, but Hagrid said I had to. Well. I was put into a boat together with Ginny, Fred George and Ron's sister, a girl called Luna Lovegood and a boy that didn't talk. I joined Ginny and Luna's conversation which was about in which house they would want to be. Ginny wanted to go in Gryffindor, Luna in Gryffindor or Hufflepuf and I wanted to go into Gryffindor for sure.

When were almost on the halve of the lake we were crossing everyone watched the big castle in awe. But really, what's the deal? Like they haven't seen castles before. Well maybe some didn't, but I'm sorry most of them did so I got annoyed by everyone. I'm happy no one in my boat did it though, I would have hit him or her right in their face. Ginny already saw it last year when there was a problem consisting Harry and a stone and Luna looked like she saw just what she imagined. The boy didn't even look at it. Good.

When we ended the boat trip all the students that were no first years had already entered the Great Hall, as always. We got land and Hagrid brought us to the massive doors, which I think are really cool. Dad said that they could be magically closed and that only very powerful wizards would be able to open it, including the head master. But of course no one knew, they just thought that it was there because it looked pretty. Some people are dumb, but OK.

I then saw McGonagall and she started to tell the story she always did. This year there was no argument like last year with Harry and Malfoy. Malfoy is just a guy that thinks he's the best just because of his father. Do I think that? No. Do I have reason to think that? Yes. Why don't I do it? Just because of why Harry doesn't do it, because we are no big assholes like he is. Then the doors of the Great Hall open and everyone stares at the sealing. Except for me. I look at dad who is smiling at me. I smile back and turn away to look at Fred and George.

I give them a big thumbs up and then the hat starts to sing, and again I've heard it. Every year he changes it, but he always practices in my father's office, the place where I live, so I've already heard it. When that's done, McGonagall starts the Sorting, but not before telling everyone about my special destination. Every one stares at me, and I wave at everyone except for the Slytherins. I just glare at them. When that's done the sorting starts and I'm one of the first.

Dumbledore, Alice. McGonagall says. She gives me a warm smile and I walk towards the hat confidently. I hope. Although I act like I've done this a thousand times I'm still a little scared. What if I get into Slytherin? I won't, I won't even accept it if I did. So I sit down on the stool and McGonagall puts the hat on my head.

'Ah, Alice. I've waited to sort you for a long time. Let's see. You've got the potentials to become a very big wizard, but you are not planning on doing something bad with it, so no Slytherin for you. You are a true friend, very loyal but I don't think Hufflepuf is the place where you'll fit in. Ravenclaw or Gryffindor? You are very smart and very brave at the same time. Ah, I see... GRYFFINDOR!' It says. I smile and walk towards Fred and George who have made space. Thank God.

When I sit down I look at all the teachers and most look happy, except for Snape. He probably wanted a powerful wizard for once. But hey, my future, not his! 'Lovegood, Luna!' The hat says. I look at her while she's walking. She has this special aura around her that makes you think that instead of walking towards the hat she could also be walking in a meadow to get a flower. 'RAVENCLAW!' It said. I'm happy for her, that's where I also think she belongs.
