Chapter One

Mckenna's P.O.V-

I get into his old, gross, crappy pick up truck and slam the door. I look over at him, for the 6th time today he's smoking his cigar. It's 12:30 p.m. " Jason could you please put down your lung cancer on a stick and take me home I have to get ready I have plans tonight. I told you this 15 times already. Lets go!" I say with anger, he never listens to me. "Just shut up about your shitty plans I said I would take you when I'm ready. Now keep your trap shut up and give daddy a kiss..." He says as he leans in for a kiss. " Eww you perv! I'm walking home!". I get out of his car and slam the door so hard his window cracks. I give him a "Have a crappy day dumb ass" smile and walk away. I don't even know why I like him anyway. Well I have plenty of time to think about it. 7 miles is a long walk.

A familiar car pulls up to the side walk where I'm walking. The driver rolls down the window. " Get in loser, we're going shopping". It's Jessica, Thank God. We drive to the mall and walk around Hot Topic for 2 hours and then get Tacobell. " So hows it going with you and Jason?" she asks with a sympathetic look. "Ugh he pretty much deserves the official ass hole award. Do you remember why I ever dated that douchebag?" I ask hoping for an answer. " Of course I do. Don't you remember? When you were in high school your parents set you two up because he seemed like a gentlemen with a good future.." she sighed. "Oh yea and then after graduation he got a truck, a beard, and a new attitude. I've been to afraid to tell my parents ever sense". I say remembering and regretting my life choices. " I can't take boy talk anymore. Lets go see how many times we get free samples before they notice". Jess says with a smile as she heads for the Chinese place. I don't know what I would do without her.
