"None of us are born dead, we just stumble upon it one day as one would fall into a flowery field." That's what my teacher said in Biology last year. I have to disagree. The moment I exited the warmth of my mother, everyone knew something was wrong. I was supposed to have a twin brother but he was born dead. So while I came out screaming, my brother came out limp and bloody, not a single word coming from his thick baby lips. As I grew up, some people said it was me that killed him while others say it was just fate. I say we were all born to die, his time just came sooner than it should have.
"Sometimes life has a funny way in working out in the least obvious way." At least that's what my mom says. I've never believed her tortured words for a moment...until now, that is.
