Miraculous One Shots [Ladybug X Chat Noir]

"Merry Christmas!" Marinette chirps happily, as she holds out a neatly wrapped gift to her best friend, Alya. The teenager squeals with joy and hugs her bestie. "Oh my gosh, Marinette! You shouldn't have!"

"Well I did, so enjoy it!" The raven haired girl giggles as her friend tears open the red and green gift.

Inside, was a heart shaped locket, with a picture of the two girls inside, taking a silly selfie. There was also a Ladybug poster Marinette knew Alya had been wanting for a long time.

Alya simply squeals, unable to form words as she almost tackle hugs her friend to the ground. "This is amazing! You're the best!"

Marinette giggles. "It's no problem!"

Alya grabs Marinette's arm and tugs gently. "Well? Come on in! We got hot chocolate and fresh cookies!" She pleas.

"I would love to but-- I have to meet someone soon and--" Marinette reluctantly mumbles. She was suppose to meet Chat Noir in the park a few minutes before midnight, which was 10 minutes from that time.

"I invited Nino over though!" Alya pouts.

"I'm sorry- maybe tomor---"

"Also Adrien is here."

Marinette cuts herself off and stares at her bestie. "... What."

"Surprise! My gift to you is some hot cocoa and cookies with your soul mate!" Alya winks.

"Whaaaaat..." Marinette blinks in confusion as her friend drags her inside, shutting the door behind them. "Nino! Adrien! Marinette's here!" Alya yells.

"Mkay!" Nino shouts, his mouth most likely full of cookies.

Alya pulls her friend into the living room, where the two boys were sipping cocoa and chatting. Adrien pauses his story and glances up to see Marinette, and gives his signature crooked smile. "Hey Marinette." He greets warmly.

"U-Um... I.. Uh.. I mean--" Marinette is jabbed gently in the arm by Alya. "Hi!" She squeals.

The girls sit down. And talk with the boys about hobbies and tell stories. Well... Alya did most of the talking. Marinette just kind of gazed dreamily at Adrien every few minutes.

"Oh!" Alya claps her hands excitedly. "It's time for me and Nino's gift exchange!"

"Gift exchange?" Adrien cocks a brow.

"Remember? The teacher assigned everyone a secret Santa kind of thing." Nino explains. "We had to deliver a gift to the other person on Christmas Eve. And it just so happens me and Alya are gift exchange partners!"

"Gift exchange..." Marinette and Adrien mutter to themselves quietly.

Their eyes widen in sync as they search frantically for a clock. "Oh no!" Marinette squeals. "I have to go! There's someone I have to meet! NOW!"

"Same here! I'm actually late!" Adrien waves to his friends. "I'll see you later! Bye!"

He grabs his coat, and a small spotted bag, and dashes out the door.

Seconds later, Marinette is doing the same- except with a black and green bag. "Bye Alya!"

Marinette managed to find shelter, in order to transform into Ladybug, so she could meet Chat.

Ladybug leaps from the rooftops, and swings down to the park, landing on a park bench.

"Just in time." Ladybug sighs in relief.
