The Fall of Shiganshina (1)

(Carson's POV)
"Ugh.......what time is it...?", I said as I woke up. It was 3pm. I got out of bed to greet my parents. Mom turned from the kitchen, " Hey sleepy, how was your rest?". I squinted my eyes from the sunlight coming throw the window. "Where's Lily?", I asked. Dad spoke up, " She went out to see your friend Zack". I got on my sweater and put on my shoes. I grabbed a piece of bread and opened the door. "Be back in a few!", Mom said. I nodded, a few meant in 2 hours or so. I ran to the pier, where the lake was. I saw Lily and Zack talking. Lily sat on the stairs, Zack sat on the edge. " Hey guys I'm here!", I shouted. Lily turned around and greeted me with a smile, "So your finally awake".

" Wait he was sleeping? I thought he was just being lazy ", Zack said. I punched his arm, " I'm never lazy. You know that". He laughed. I sat down on the higher on the steps. We talked for what seemed like forever. Then, a loud lighting bolted behind the walls. "Oh no...", Zack said, running to get a view. We chased after him, wondering what happen. Smoke came from behind the walls. " Did a Titan break throw?", Lily asked. Everyone was silent, people trembled, and the smoke flew up to the clouds. "Wha-What is that thing?!", I said pointing to a figure over the wall.

A head rose above the wall, peaking over at us. It looked like it had all muscles, no skin, just muscles. It kicked at the wall, creating a hole at the bottom. "Its a colossal Titan!", I shouted. Parts of the wall were flinging everywhere, landing on people and houses. I stood in shock of what was happening....

(Lily's POV)
I tugged on Carson, " We gotta go! We have to see if Momma and Papa are still at the house!". We both left Zack and ran as fast as possible. Titans walked in from the hole the colossal Titan made. Our house was in sight, But it wasn't standing.

Momma and papa were running from the rubble. Dad had his Titan fighting gear on. A Titan suddenly came outa nowhere and grabbed mom with its big hands. "Christa!", Dad yelled. But it was to late, the Titan ripped off her head to stop the shouting, and swallowed her whole in one bite. I stared in horror when it happened. I choked, " M-Mom...... " Dad picked us up, and ran. Since me and Carson were over dad's shoulders, we got a great view of the Titan, and mamma's blood everywhere.

I didn't know dad could run so fast. As soon as that thought came into my head, he stopped. Suddenly, he turned around and took off again. The view was clear, another Titan stood in our way. We were trapped, both titans looked at us, thirsty for our juicy blood and meat. Dad swore and put me and Carson down. "I need you two to run, go in between the tall buildings so the Titans don't notice you", Dad said. I nodded, but Carson denied. " You have to come with us dad...you can't die like this!" Dad pushed us off and stood up to the two titans glaring at him. I tugged Carson, "We have to listen to him. Let's go. Be safe papa", I said, running into a building.

(Carson's POV)
" Please dad.....don't fight them...", I sobbed. Lily pulled me into one of the buildings, away from everything. "C'mon Carson! Put your big boy pants on! We need to get away from the walls and into the pier!" I just stood there, motionless, tired, angry. I looked out the window, dad was doing a good job.

I opened the door, "C'mon..." We ran in and out of the buildings, just so nothing chases us. "I see the pier!", I pointed out. A loud boom echoed through our heads. A Titan walked slowly in front of us. Then, it stopped. I took one step back, afraid of what might happen. It's head turned to us, then he grinned. He started running towards us, he wasn't that fast though, and he was far enough for us to hide in a matter of seconds. But that didn't happen, Lily and I just stood there, waiting for it to get closer.....and closer......and closer......
