Introduction, Jade.

Point of View: Jade

I cradled an old photo of my brother and I as these feelings of confusion washed over me, I stared deeply within the picture frame that usually was on my night stand beside my door. My brother was a tall slim young man with shaggy hair and piercing eyes, He was just 15 in this picture I was 10, we were so young back then, some days I wondered if things could have been different. In this picture I'm clueless of how the next decade of my life is going to be.

"Jade are you okay?" Jay asked tapping on my door concerned, "I'm here for you." He must have spoke to my dad before coming up here I haven't left our room since he went to work, and my dad had checked on me a few times throughout the day offering me food but I had no appetite, I wasn't okay that was obvious, undeniable.

I set the frame down wiping a tear that escaped down my cheek I stood up and held my door open about halfway and nodded my head in agreement to his statement. He visibly relaxed when I opened the door, he wrapped his arms around me holding me tight pressing his nose against mine.

"Hey" he said staring into my eyes he whispered "I am not going anywhere, I swear I never will." He ran his hands down my arms placing them around his neck giving me a passionate kiss, his lips were warm and soft. I let out a deep breath and buried my face in his jacket holding him close wishing the moment would last forever.
