Chapter 12

Wonderwall by Oasis was just playing for the fifth time, it was my favorite song, when I felt cold hands touch my back, and not just one pair, five.

With a squeal, I flipped over so I was on my back, propping myself up on my elbows so I could glare up at the boys. All five of them were completely soaked. They’d even managed to get Zayn to go underwater, or had just splashed him so his hair was soaked, and the water beaded on the ends of his long eyelashes.

All five of them stared down at me, cracking up. Real funny, guys.

Seeing I was upset, Niall grabbed his towel, laid it out next to me, and flopped down on it, facing me.

“I’m sorry, princess,” he said, leaning in close.

I smiled at him, knowing I couldn’t even pretend to be angry. Placing my hand on the back of his neck, I pulled his lips to mine briefly.

The boys and I spent the rest of the afternoon on the beach, and, at five, we dressed ourselves and headed back to the Range Rover.

I was dropped off back at the hotel, Niall promising to be back to pick me up at seven. I hugged the boys goodbye, saving Niall for last.

When we reluctantly let go, I made my way up to my room, extremely excited. I was going on date with Niall Horan. I couldn’t completely wrap my head around it. I couldn’t believe how quickly all of this had happened.

Entering the room, I noted that my parents and Claire were gone. I figured they had gone to the pool like they’d been talking about.

Heading to my suitcase and closet, I decided on an outfit.

An hour later, I was showered and dressed.

Standing in front of the mirror, I looked over my outfit. I had chosen my strapless, blue dress with white polka-dots. The bottom flowed out below my hips, making my waist look smaller. On top of it I had selected a light brown, leather jacket.

For my hair, I had braided a small piece and wrapped it across the middle.

I had applied a little more makeup than usual, to make the outfit slightly more fancy, but without going overboard. I’d given my eyes the smoky look with navy eyeshadow to match the dress as well as black eyeliner and mascara, and applied watermelon-scented lipgloss to my lips.

For jewelry, I’d poked white feather earrings through my ears, the infinity necklace I’d had on yesterday as well as my Pandora bracelet and my irish claddagh ring. Smiling, I removed the ring and replaced it, facing in, representing that my heart was now taken.

Pleased with my outfit, I stepped out of the bathroom and slipped on a pair of white and tan sandals. Then, I grabbed my phone to check the time. I still had 45 minutes.

Plopping down on my bed, I grabbed my phone and spent the remaining time on twitter, responding to people’s tweets, and following some people back.

Before I knew it, there was a knock on the door. Hiding my phone into my strapless bra, I made my way over to the door and pulled it open.

The door was barely open before I found myself in Niall’s arms. I happily giggled against his chest while he chuckled by my ear.

“Ready to go, love?” he asked, still holding me to him. I nodded into his chest before pulling away and taking his hand in mine. I closed the door behind us and made our way down the hallway to the elevators.

A minute later, Niall was opening the passenger door for me of the Range Rover. He waited until I’d slid in, then closed the door, rounded the car, and slid into his side.
