Xenia knelt next to a basin, which was nearly full of a purple liquid and put a cup in it, filling the cup.
She stood up, and walked over to Ceron and put the cup in his hands.
"Drink," she ordered roughly. Ceron wrinkled his nose, after recognizing the foul substance.
"What is that," Cera asked.
"It's jexron. It's a substance that speeds up the healing process," Xenia explained, still staring down Ceron who was nearly gagging at the smell.
"Now stop being a baby and just down it. Ignore the smell and taste. You'll be healed in no time," Xenia bossed, her hands gravitating to her hips.
Ceron pinched his nose and swallowed the drink quickly, before getting into a coughing fit.
Xenia ignored his dramatics and pulled his shirt off again, checking where she had already wiped the blood off his back. To Cera's surprise, his wounds seemed to be stitching itself.
"That hurts," Ceron mumbles.
"Would you rather wait a few hours for it to heal naturally?"
"A few hours," Cera stated, "only a few hours?"
"Yes. Being half peasant he heals rather slowly," Xenia teased, poking Ceron's cheek. Ceron smiled, obviously still in pain.
"So....explain what's going on? How is my mom and dad not my mom and dad? Who are my real parents? Why am I here? Why was I in America? Wait am I even on earth?"
"You're not on earth," Ceron said carefully, "you're not even in the same galaxy."
"Then how come you speak English," Cera asked, frowning.
"Laeres can speak all languages in the universe. Either way, I'm not speaking English."
Cera blinked. "I don't speak whatever you speak."
"Yes you do. Unlike humans, we're born with the ability to speak Laeriase which is our language. Your abilities were locked by our dad and your mom but it seems like they're being activated by coming to Laerion," Ceron said, eyes widening when Xenia threw a golden and red outfit at him.
"Why are you wearing servant clothes?"
"Rivyn demoted me," Ceron sighed, pulling the shirt on.
Cera rolled her eyes. "Well you're my little brother. What happened? Why was I sent to Earth and why did you get to stay here?"
"Well you were born to King Daryin and Queen Marana as Princess Cerulean. All of Laerion was overjoyed at your birth. You were a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Everyone loved you. No one knew that the royal marriage was on turmoil. No one could expect that King Daryin would...would...cheat on the beautiful Queen Marana."
Ceron stopped talking for a while, pulling his pants down before pulling on the royal garments. He sat down after Xenia left with his old clothes.
"He had two mistresses. A peasant girl named Wren and a sorceress named Klyda. The girl named Wren was a farmers daughter. Basically a nobody. She got pregnant by the king and news in the kingdom spreads fast. No blame was placed on the king. The girl was slandered as a whore. She gave birth and the good queen kept her as a maid. Her son was raised as a prince, even given a name close to the eldest as is the custom but everyone knew the truth. He was illegetimate. He was not royal."
Ceron cleared his throat.
"The king stopped his wandering ways. It seemed all was well in Laerion. However, the sorceress Klyda had fell in love with the king. She tried desperately to seduce him back to her. It didn't work and soon she began to hate the Queen and hate Wren. She tried killing the Queen. She failed. She turned her hatred on the princess. She cursed her, nearly killing the five year old. She swore to kill the princess and in fear, the princess was sent with two of the King's most faithful servants to Earth where she was to be raised. The sorceress was killed when the princess was ten years old but for some reason, she wasn't brought back. Then four months ago, the king and queen disappeared. No one knew where they had gone and so their niece was made to hold the throne until they got the princess. The niece hated the illegetimate prince. She did what everybody agreed she should do. She had him treated like a peasant and the prince dealt with the name calling, the shunning, and the ordering around from the people of Laerion. His mother didn't like it. She told the temporary queen that she was being cruel and then...and then...the niece had her hanged, and at the public hanging the people cheered and clapped. After the princess was brought back and demanded an explanation."
Ceron had tears in his eyes. Cera couldn't say anything at all. This was her legacy. This was her brother. His mother had been hanged for protecting her son? The people of Laerion were savages?
"How was I as a child?"
"You were sweet and precocious. You didn't like Rivyn much at all but you treated me nicely," Ceron mumbled, wiping his face furiously.
Xenia came back in, holding a dress, with two female servants flanking her.
"Wear this. It's time to meet the kingdom."
Cera snatched the dress and ushered everyone out. She needed time for herself.
She needed time to cool down.
