Chapter 11 - Pranks and Old Frendships

Before I could stop myself, I burst out laughing. They boys all shot me a look. Confused. Louis had a smirk on his face. I laughed even harder.

"Cassie! How dare you laugh?!" cried Louis, lunging at me. The boys tried to hold him back, but Louis broke free and pinned me down. He winked at me. His eyes sparkled with mischief before changing to anger and pain.

"Eleanor is my life," he seethed. If it wasn't for the prank, I would have run. He slapped me across the face, not very hard but I cried out in 'pain'.

"Cassie!"

Liam and Zayn pulled Louis off. Harry and Niall ran up to me, checking if I was hurt. I looked up at their concerned eyes. I mean it was just a slap, why are they so concerned?

A choke came from behind us. 

"Eleanor!"  

Everyone ran up to Eleanor, except for Louis and I. We were leaning against the wall, laughing.

"Finally," exclaimed Eleanor. "I thought that you guys would take me to the hospital or something but nope."

REVENGE IS SWEET.

"It was a prank?"

The four boys were very surprised. Eleanor nodded, grinning. Harry's jaw dropped. I walked up to Harry and closed his mouth.

"Don't want to catch any flies, do we?" I said, before walking to Eleanor. Louis had a smirk on his face, and my suspicions were confirmed when my phone buzzed. 

A picture of four shocked and tear stained boys were posted on Twitter.

I laughed and hi fived Louis and Eleanor. Our celebration was cut short when Up All Night blasted from my phone.

"Hey Poppy," I said.

"Oh my god! You were tagged in Louis photo," she yelled excitedly. I put her on speaker, laughing silently.

"Oh my god! I know," I said dryly.

"So you guys are friends now?"

"Um.... did you change my ringtone?" I asked.

"Stop changing the subject! I bet you are friends with them. Oh, and yes I did," Poppy answered. I could just imagine the smile she had on her face.

"The boys are so hot! And they sing like angels," she sighed dreamily.

"You are on speaker and you just gave them a bigger ego," I said, amused.

"Cassie!" she screamed. I heard some background noises.

"Who are you with?" I asked.

"Please don't freak out. I'm with Dan," Poppy choked out. Dan. My childhood best friend who ditched me. He bullied me after becoming a popular. Fifteen years of friendship straight down the drain.

"Dan? Out of everyone?!" I exclaimed. "Bye Poppy."  

I hung up on her and tossed my phone on the couch,  picking it up afterwardsto turn it off when she tried calling me back.

"Who's Dan?" asked everyone, though not simultaneously.  

"Dan is... someone that I used to know." A stray tear fell down my cheek.
