Late that night, Abi was tucked up in bed. She was so deep in sleep that she was dreaming...
Abi was sitting on the sofa watching TV. Her eyes were glued to the telly. She was depressed and heartbroken, her mum had passed away a couple of days ago. When Jay is working, all she can find for comfort is mainly the TV. Suddenly her phone bleeped in her jean pocket, she got it out and a small smile shone upon her face as she read a text from the sexy red headed guy who she needed the most at this time: I'm off work for a bit. Can you meet me in the cafe please? I need to see you. x
Abi put her phone back in her jean pocket and grabbed her jacket. She walked into the kitchen.
"Nan, I'm going to meet Jay, ok?"
Cora turned away from the washing up and looked at Abi and raised a small smile. Cora was a big woman with big brown hair which she normally tied up in a bun. She also had big lips which she added lipstcik too. She wore alot of make up for her age to be honest. It resembled a drag queen.
"Okay darling."
Abi put on a small smile and turned away.
"Abi?"
Abi turned around. "Yeah?"
"It's gonna be okay you know."
Abi looked down and let tears stream out of her eyes.
"Oh come here petal."
Cora walked over to her and gave her a hug. She let her granddaughter cry on her shoulder until she calmed down.
"Come on," Cora patted her on the back. "Your mum wouldn't want to see you like this. She would want to see you out enjoying yourself. Come on, go upstairs quickly and dry your eyes and go out and have fun with Jay. He will take your mind off everything, I'm sure he will."
Abi smiled. "Yeah," Abi went up the stairs to dry her eyes in the bathroom and to put some make up on to lighten herself up. She then went back downstairs to depart the house to head over to the cafe.
Abi walked over to the cafe but as she was about to enter, she heard Jay's voice in an alleyway next to the cafe. She didn't just hear Jay's voice, she heard Lola's too...
"So, where do I meet you?" Lola was asking Jay.
"Go home Lola and I'll meet come to you."
"I'll miss you."
Lola leaned in and kissed Jay which he responded to. Just as the passionate and full on kiss was taking place in the alley, Abi walked over and saw it.
"Jay!" she yelled, "What are you doing?!"
Abi was so close to tears. She thought Jay would of known what it was like to loose a mum especially through cancer. She couldn't believe that he would do that to her. Especially through all the grief that Lola has put them through and Lola has won Jay by the sound of it!
"I won," Lola smirked.
"Lola, be quiet for a minute please and there was no winners in this," Jay informed her, he turned to Abi.
"Well?!" Abi yelled with hurt.
"Abi, I'm sorry but I'm not feeling it anymore," Jay said gently.
"What you don't love me anymore?" Abi asked, "What's changed? You realised that our mums had something in common and you couldn't take it! How could you?!"
