Frankie and Mitch stepped closer to Kayla, now only a few feet away from her. She was still panicking, and looking frantically around the room for a weapon.
Classic music played through the speakers, making the place seem less inviting to Kayla. It calmed Mitch, seeing as it was all he had ever listened to. Frankie didn't care, he was too focused on his former best friend.
"Please?" She hiccupped, her words coming out a mess. She couldn't stop sobbing, and she was sure that she looked a mess as well.
Mitch suddenly walked a bit faster, and Frankie didn't seem to notice as he did the same until they finally reached where the girl was crying.
Kayla had given up on trying to get out by banging on the locked door, or trying to find a weapon. She just slid down the wall and curled up into a ball, her hair sticking to her face as she cried and tried to wipe away the tears.
She didn't know what to do anymore. She couldn't believe what was going on. Her friend was going to kill her? The one who was scared of practically everything? The one who was scared of rabbits because they hop and it could possibly kick someone? The same boy who she had had to protect from bullies?
She didn't understand how her friend had turned into the boy in front of her.

"With all of these kids going missing, we have to make sure that you aren't next. You'll be staying home for your own safety, no exceptions. If you are to go anywhere, someone - an adult - will be escorting you. Understand?" George's father, Paul, said to his son. He nodded, finding it reasonable as well.
"What about school?" He asked, not wanting to fail any of his classes.
"I'll take care of that. I'll talk to your principal about it, she'll understand, I'm sure of it." Paul said, waving it off. Janette nodded too, smiling softly as if to reassure her husband that their son would be fine. "Alright, well, I'm going to get going for work now." He sighed, kissing his wife on the cheek as they all said their goodbyes.
"George, they'll find Kayla, and Frankie too. You know that, right?" Janette asked, her brown eyes dimming a bit.
"Yes, mum. I kn- "
"And even if they don't find Frankie, I'm sure they'll find Kayla. Besides, they have a description of the van and people who were driving it, they should have be able to find something." She cut him off, the small smile never leaving her face.
George nodded, smiling at his mum even though he was still doubtful that both his girlfriend and friend would come back unharmed. The blonde haired woman hugged her son, thereafter letting him go off into his room as she did something to busy herself.

Sandra sat on her couch, sipping at her coffee. Her forehead was creased as she frowned in concentration, her eyes staring at the television.
"Honey, they'll find them." Matt tried to comfort his now girlfriend, kissing her forehead. She snapped out of her thoughts and sighed, not completely believing his words.
Everybody had been saying the same things to each other. 'It's going to be okay.' 'They're going to find them.' 'Give it another week, you'll see.' And quite frankly, everyone had their doubts. They all knew that even though the police now had something more to look into, they still may not find Frankie and Kayla.
And for that they were bracing themselves.
