Chapter 1; Westfield high school.
The first day I walked into the doors to Westfield high school I knew that this year was going to be better then the one before. You see last year, I weighed 200 hundred pounds. I know a lot. I knew it and so did everyone else. And I was reminded every day that they knew it.
My name is Nikki Johnson. I have blonde hair that goes to my shoulders and bright blue eyes. I'm going to be a junior. Since last year I weigh currently 60 pounds less, thanks to my best friend Zoe. She helped me the whole summer, she was my encouragement.

As I make my way down the hall to my locker I see my best friend Zoe. "Zoe!" I call. She turns around and walks to me with a smile on her face.
"Hey Nikki!" Zoe says.
"Come with me to my locker? I need to grab my books," I asked. She nods her head in agreement. "What class do you have first?"
"Calculus" she groaned, "what about you?"
I searched my backpack for my schedule, when I found it had the same as hers. "Same" I squealed! Knowing that Zoe's there to keep me entertained will make me have better mornings.
Not saying I don't pay attention in class, I always do. I wouldn't consider myself a nerd, I just care about my grades. A lot.

When we reach my locker, my group of friends are surrounding it. "Hey Bella, syd, izzy, Connor, Nate!" I called. These people have stuck with my even through my previous years. They never once judged my weight. And I will love them forever for that.
Were not particularly on the popular side. Okay we're not at all. We never have been, and probably never will be. But that is absolutely fine with me.
"Hey Nikki, hey Zoe!" They all said back.
"Have you seen what the trouble three are wearing today!?" Izzy squealed. You see there are these three guys in school that are the most popular guys in school. They are the "bad boys" of the school. Izzy always have had the hugest crushes on them. I don't understand why. They are players and break girls hearts. Not my type.
"No I haven't seen them at all yet," I mutter. Just as I say the the trouble three just happen to be walking our way.
Ever heard the term speak of the devil? Yeah that's the perfect term to fit it.
