Shy girl; never change for anyone

Out of my friends and I, I'm the shy one. I sit there at the lunch table quietly eating my lunch while my friends talk around me. When they ask me a question or want my imput I try my best to speak loud but always end up whispering. But they're all use to it now they now it's me and I'm not going to change for anyone.
"Isabella Georgina Thorpe, will you pay attention to me this is very important. Lucas is one of the hottest boys in our year and he asked me out!" Meet my best friend Jessica Chung, we've been best friend since we were 3/4 we meet in nursery. Since then we've been known as the terrible twosome, she's the mouth I'm the brains. Literally all she cares about is boy boys boys. I all I care about our books books books.
Anyway back to Jess.
"I know he asked you out I was there being ignored as usual."
"Aww baby don't worry, I'm only using him to get a date for prom."
"You want to go to prom with Lucas?"
I thought we were going to go together we've planned this since we were little but I guess things change when boys happen.
"Of course not sweetie." I lift my head confused.
"If I date Lucas for about a week Henry will get jealous and want me back."
"Oh okay." She starts rooting through her wardrobe. The thing with Jessica and Henry is they got together in year 7 broke up in year 8 got back together in year 9 and split up again in year 10. So obviously now they're in year 11 Jessica thinks they're going to get back together, just in time for prom.
So I guess I'll either not go or go by myself. Decisions decisions.
