MKayla is a 6th grader. She is the only child between her mom and dad. She always gets her way at the house. One day when her dad says he lost his job she thought " oh it's nothing." The next day she asked for a new outfit hers was way to out of style. But she was surprised when her dad said no he never said no. Then she went to her mom and she said no to. She was starting to get mad. When finally she went to her butler and her butler told her " YOUR DAD LOST HIS JOB! " . She finally understood that they where running out of money but she still asked for things but they always say no. It was like it was hard for her not to get her way.
The next day MKayla went to school in her way out of style clothes! But she was surprised when nobody laughed at her. They all treated her like she was a normal person not some popular stuck up girl, trust me I have had one of those before. It was weird for her because her friends looked good and she didn't ( in her opinion ). Her friends treated her like crap so she had to go and find other people to hang out with. She found this girl named Carly sitting out front by herself , she went and sat next to her to be nice. The next day she hung out with her again and the day after that and so on. She became her best friend she came over almost ever day after school. Until one day her dad got his job back he bought her all the latest clothes. She got back in with her friends and forgot all about Carly. Until one day her mom asked. " When is Carly coming over again. "
MKayla's voice faltered " I don't know mom I forgot about her with all my old friends back " Sweetheart just because you got your old friends back that doesn't mean you need to forget you new one." Her mom forwarded. " I know I know but she just isn't me " MKayla said sadly. " She just isn't you what does that mean? ". " I don't know me and her where good friends when I had different clothes but now I am back with my old friends and I like them better then her."I said " Sweetheart I'm sorry to do this to you but you are going to wear what you have from now on no new outfit every week sorry that this is what it has come to."
