Sarafine ran as fast as she could to the hospital. When she was sitting in front of the book store with Emily the feeling of impending doom became greater and greater. She had to talk to Daniel. She had to convince him to leave Victoria with her before the darkness came. As she ran down the block and pushed through the masses of people grey clouds began to cover the sky and the sunlight disappeared. As she ran down the block Sarafine realized that she had to cross the street. She ran into the road and cars shrieked to a halt and angrily beeped at her, but she didn't care. She ran up the slabs of steps that lead to the hospital doors and ran into he hospital like she was bleeding to death. The waiting room in the hospital looked like the inside of a church. It was spacious and had a grand dome for a ceiling with one large stained glass round window in the center. The walls were painted a beachy tan color. There was a large round reception desk and several seats and benches surrounding it. The waiting room was pretty much empty, as Sarafine walked across the hallow room the reception desk. There was an African American woman with short cropped hair wearing a pink scrub suit waiting there smiling at her.
"How may I help you?" the woman asked as if she was trained to.
"Where is Daniel?" Sarafine said out of breath.
"Oh you must be his fiancée." The woman said as her eyes lit up. "That boy sure is smitten. He's in room 207 with a patient."
"Thank you so much." Sarafine said as she headed towards the room. As she made her way down the dimly lit hall past all of the gurneys and extra hospital beds, she suddenly remembered something. Room 207 is where she first met Daniel when she was admitted to the hospital by her mother. It's where they fell in love and now it may be the place where their love ends. As she came to room 207 she quickly knocked on the door. Daniel opened the door and peered his head out. He was wearing a pair of dark blue scrubs and his hair looked messy.
"Sarafine, what are you doing here?" Daniel asked sounding surprised.
"We have a problem."
After Daniel ushered out his patient, a red headed woman pregnant with triplets, Sarafine slipped into the room and locked the door. Daniel ran his hand threw his hair and looked somewhat annoyed with her. He had dark purple rings around his blood shot eyes. Sarafine was trying to figure out what she was going to say to him ever since she left the bookstore without sounding completely insane, but yet she still couldn't figure out the right words.
"We have to leave Daniel something is really wrong." Sarafine said was Daniel ushered her to go on. "Emily saw something outside of our apartment last night. She took a picture of it and it was exactly what attacked me last night. Emily thinks that it is Beelzebub, one of the seven princes of hell. A demon."
Daniel let out a sigh and put his hands over his eyes. He thinks I'm insane, Sarafine thought, maybe I am. But Daniel took but of her hands in his and met her eyes with an understanding glare.
"I'm gonna go out on a limb, and believe you. I've been getting these weird feelings all day. Like something's watching me." Daniel said.
"It's because something is. Did you look outside within the past ten minutes. It looks like there's a hurricane or something out there." Sarafine said as Daniel made his way to the window. He pulled down the blinds. There were dark swirling clouds outside and buckets of rain pouring down like the heavens exploded.
"Well we can't leave now." Daniel said. Suddenly everything went dark, and the emergency lights went on. They left an eerie blue glow that left shivers in Sarafine's spine. Daniel ran to his draw and pulled out a flashlight. Whatever was after Sarafine must be here now, the irony of her dying in a hospital almost made her want to laugh.
