macy
My alarm for school went off and I quickly turned it off. I quickly took a shower, and changed into a band shirt and black leggings. Then, I put on some mascara and ate a quick breakfast. After that, I started walking to the bus stop. Yes, I had to take the bus to school.
When the bus pulled up to the bus stop, I got on and sat next to my best friend, Tracy.
"Macy, look at this!" Tracy said, shoving her cell phone in my face.
I looked at the phone, seeing some dumb news story.
"I don't care about the news." I said, trying to give the phone back to Tracy.
"Macy, it's serious!" Tracy cried.
I rolled my eyes. When I looked at the screen, I saw a news story about mass arrests in the government.
"Why are they getting arrested?" I asked.
"I don't know." Tracy said.
Tracy and I decided to forget about the news and had a conversation until the bus arrived at the high school. We got off the bus and entered the school.
"I'll meet you at your locker." I said, separating from Tracy to go to my locker.
I opened my locker and put my things in, but grabbed a binder for my morning classes. I then walked to Tracy's locker.
"Hey." Tracy said.
Tracy walked me to algebra class, which was my first class of the day.
"See ya at passing period." I said.
Tracy nodded and walked to her first class of the day. I sat down at my desk and turned my old iPod off. Then, the bell rang and morning announcements began. I had a feeling that something bad was going to happen, but I ignored it.
The teacher began teaching algebra. After class was over, I met up with Tracy during passing period.
"Ugh, I have a test next period." Tracy said.
"Me too." I said.
Tracy walked me to my biology class.
"See ya again at passing period." I said.
I walked to my seat. The tardy bell rang and the class began. I took my test. The bad feeling in my gut only got worse, but I continued to ignore it. The teacher began the lesson. After class was over, I met up with Tracy again during passing period.
"The mass arrests thing is making me nervous. It's making me wonder what the government has been doing to us." Tracy said.
"It's no big deal. People get arrested all the time." I said.
Tracy walked me to my world geography class.
"See ya at lunch." I said.
I sat at my desk. The tardy bell rang.
"Who watched the news this morning?" The teacher asked.
Most of the teens raised their hands, including me.
"Macy, tell us about one thing that happened on the news." The teacher said.
"I saw a news story about mass arrests in the government." I said.
"Why were these mass arrests happening?" The teacher asked.
"They didn't say." I said.
"Let's watch the news now and see if there's anything new." The teacher said.
The teacher went to the internet, but it wouldn't load.
