Chapter 1

Little Wolfs POV

I pad over to the table, with my claws click-clacking on the linoleum floor, taking a deep sniff. I could smell the pungent odor of the man- the onions he had got done eating, and his lack of shower.

"Little Wolf?" Rose called. I look at her and pad out the door and into twilight hours of the day following the scent. I am lead to a small metal shed. Pawing at the door, I look back at her and whine, then look back at the door and continued to paw at the shaky metal.

"What's wrong Little Wolf? You want me to open the door?" She looks at me curiously. I continue to paw at the door as I whine gently at her. She slowly goes around my silver form and opens the door for me. "That what you wanted?"

I trot into the shed and put my nose to the ground. I walk over to a counter and hop onto my two back legs, and sniff the gun and darts sitting on the counter in here. I hop back down onto all fours, and sniff the cage to my right. There is a tuft of white fur in the cage, and a single lock of snow white hair is in the corner of the shack.

"I'd love being a white wolf. Sorry, that was random." I hear Rose say in a general statement; I guess she was talking to me, but she almost said it to herself. Who knows with humans I think to myself. White is such a rare color for wolves like me though... I wonder if that means there's something special about her. "What is that white fur?" She asks me as she walks a little behind me. My bones snap, and the fur recedes into my body slowly. Combat boots and black armour plating appear along with a combat knife.

I stand now at 5' 2" with black body armour on, grey hair with streaks of silver pulled into a ponytail that ends at the small of my back. There's a knife in my boot, and on my shoulder handle pointing downwards. I look over at Rose and she's shocked. God I hope she doesn't faint I think to myself.

"What the fuck just happened?!" She says to me, disbelief and shock lacing her words.

"That, dear girl, was me." I say patting her cheek and pick up the fur and lock of hair. "Damn, she transformed in here too" I say more to myself. I stalk out of the room with my boots clanking on the metal floor of the shed. A scowl on my face as I enter the outside air once again. I look over to Rose and she's still in shock at what I just did in front of her. "Okay that, dearie, is called transformation. I'm a werewolf ya see. Now come on, let's go find me mom." I smile contently as I look up and see the waning moon.

I hear Rose mumble an "Okay then..." before she follows me.

I walk back into the house that's slowly falling apart with yellow paint chipping, over-grown grass, and the wood slowly rotting away, and go to a desk. I rummage around a few random drawers of the mahogany wood and smile happily when I pull out a couple keys on a chain. "Ah ha. There you are." I turn to Rose, seeing as she followed me slowly and cautiously, "you can drive right?" I ask.

"Uh yeah. Where are we going?" She stutters, most likely thrown back by my sudden question.

I walk outside and towards an old green beat up Duley truck with a marroon strip down the side, and two smaller white stips highlight it, and sat in the truck bed waiting for her to get in the truck. "Mount Airy, North Carolina."

My home pack is there, and I need to go and put my plan into action in order to find my mother. I lay flat in the bed of the truck, sprawled out with one hand tucked under my head and the other playing with a small charm around my neck.

"Alright, I'll get you there." I hear Rose say, she looks into the rear-view window and sees me playing with the charm. "What's the charm little-" she cuts herself off from my nickname she seems to have given me.
