5. Acceptance
I'm in a balcony overlooking a familiar view - fogs, caves, invisible cries of the dead and a big bloody river but there are no fires in this hell. It still has no stars and no moon but since there's no fire it looks more like an underworld than hell to me.
I wonder if I'm dreaming or if this is real. It's hard to tell after what I've found out about me but if this is real then how did I get here? I thought as I ponder the possibilities of being here.
Wait, am I dead. The last memory that I have is that I'm dying because of the poison cups that I drank. Daren and the Brunette Bitch thought it's not supposed to kill anyone. Does that mean I'm dead? But what will happen to the prophecy now? I started to panic as these thoughts ran to my head. I looked at myself to see if I'm a see through ghost but I'm not.
Shit, how do I know. I started to really panic now. I don't know what to do.
"Hello dear." A familiar voice of a woman that sounded like a melody, said behind me.
I immediately turned around to see who it was and there I saw, standing in the room, a beautiful lady wearing a black crown on her head. She has a beautiful greek white dress on that has a pink ombre at the bottom and on it's sleeve. The sleeve is long enough that it hides the elbow but it also has a hole that shows of the shoulders and upper arm. There's also a pink flowery metal on the shoulder and it looks like some kind of shoulder pad or something. Her dress is a deep V neckline and she's wearing some kind of pink belt around her waist. She's also wearing some kind of gold cuff bracelets on each side of her wrist and expensive looking rings on her fingers.
She has a light brown skin and a shiny light brown hair. Her eyes are bright green and her cheeks and lips are rosy pink. There is no doubt she's a goddess but who?
"Who are you? Am I dead?" I asked this questions to her in confusion and panic.
"You're not dead." She reassured me and somehow I believed her immediately. She walked towards me and looked at the view but there's really nothing to see though there's something to hear.
"Tell me about your day." The goddess urged while turning her head to look at me with a warm smile.
"Well my last memory was that I almost died." I admitted. I don't know why I told her that but I did.
"Oh my, that's not a good news. You should take care of yourself properly." She told me while brushing the back of her hand on my cheek then dropping it back down.
"I do take care of myself it's just that everything around me just changed in a day and that's not an easy adjustment for me." I told her then I looked back at the view.
"I see then why don't you tell me the story?" The beautiful lady asked softly but my forehead creased in confusion. I could feel her gentle eyes on my face.
"What story?" I asked in confusion too as I try to see past the fog.
Bedtime story? I don't think she's the type. I thought in confusion because I just don't know what she wants. She just asked about my day and now she wants a story.
"About your troubles in your new life. I want to know all about it." She said softly to me. I feel the want and need to tell her about my troubles or as she put it earlier 'my story' because I feel like I could trust her and so I told her my story.
I looked back at her and sighed in frustration.
"I guess it's just this never ending revelation. It's like everytime I turn around there's something new that I'll find out and it's just overwhelming. I thought I had moved passed it but realizing it now, I still haven't, it disturbs me so much that I started to go out of my character. My two bestfriends even call me out on it." I admitted as I remember our memory in the little meadow. I looked back at the view as if I'm looking for something out there.
